So you think we need guns to protect ourselves during this crisis? I hope it doesn't come to that.

so you don't think you should be prepared, especially during a crisis?

When trying to prepare for this a gun didn't cross my mind. I did joke about it at work that we might need guns when people start turning into zombies.
I don't think it will be a necessity but you never know. I guess it doesn't hurt to be prepared.

Something I have been scratching my head about. If this virus started in China and it took a month for them to figure out what is was. Why are some of the surrounding countries hardly effected.  Russia supposedly has only 367 cases and no deaths. Mongolia 10 cases and no deaths. I find that hard to believe.

being prepared for a crisis means a hell lot more than having a six month supply of toilet paper

there will always be people in this world who don't prepare thinking they will just take what they need during a crisis from someone else, those kinds of people are not confined to specific neighborhoods

Lol I didn't stock up on toilet paper. If the time comes I'll use pages from the phone book.
I'm not too worried about someone trying to take something from me and I don't think I would shoot someone if they did.

The problem is not that too many people watched too many Hollywood movies, the problem these people implement decisions based on the movies. With totalitarian spying on the people phone calls and big data, instead locking down the population (sort of) and blow to the economy, need to track down and isolate carriers.

at the end of January when the extent of the problem in China became apparent the Trump administration began instituting a travel ban with them, not that we'd know that listening to a majority of the press

     Guns are essential?
Absolutely!!! To me!!
My house is BY FAR the last place you ever want to fuck with within a million square miles. Maybe a touch less. :uh-huh:

Anyone that has a cursory knowledge or better of history would have to be a coward or a fool to not be as well armed and trained as possible.

I don't think there are many flights to/from Russia/China, while Italy/China probably had the most flights between their countries.

Funny stuff.  I just ended a 5 week fast a couple days ago. Today I put on a pair of new Gramicci climbing pants I bought new 20 years ago. They had not fit me at all in well over 15 years.  Today they fit very loosely and I had to cinch them up a lot so they would not fall off. I'm guessing I lost 50 lbs over the last 7 months with more than half that over the last 5 weeks.  I'll know when I find  a scale.

I'm eating like a monster right now, but only really healthy nourishing food.

Well, in all fairness. . .givin we should stay at home and all, this is a hell of a time to shoot and see what ya can blow up.   However, this is frowned upon if ya live downtown or in suburbs

Have I mentioned lately I miss hockey.  :'(

And I'm frigging bored. Even though I work like a dog.. a very long work day.

Have I mentioned...

that although I have always been partial to regular or full size handguns, that I absolutely love my Sig 365XL and it has now become my everyday Carry.  A trooper buddy of mine suggested it to me.  I was never a fan of the smaller guns (even though I do not have big hands), but this pup shoots like a champ.  The XL has a slightly longer barrel (than the 365) and holds 10+1 in standard mag, and 12+1 in extended. (talking 9mm here)  I carry it with the regular mag and it shoots like a dream.  Easy to put and keep on target.  The only issue I have with it is the mag release spring is very tight and it takes some effort for me to release it with my thumb.  Maybe with time I will learn to technique it better...or strengthen my thumb, but I think it is because the grip is narrow and shorter than I am used to, so it takes a conscience effort not to get the bottom/palm of my hand in the way of the ejecting mag, whilst pressing the release.  (I am used to the longer grip of regular sized guns)
Anyway, fabulous gun.  It shoots so much better (accurately) than I expected from a gun this size.

I also have a Sig 320C in 45 auto, which was my carry gun prior to the 365XL.  I do love this gun and it also shoots very well (as do all Sigs).  I prefer a .45 for a carry gun, but the XL is easier to conceal carry for a guy with current....let's say...physique.  (I might just currently be sporting my middle age spread)

Which brings me to a question...  I conceal carry with a IWB holster on my strong side at about the 3:30 position with the weapon canted at angle (grip forward, barrel down and back).  Mostly due to that's where it fits my waistline for standing, sitting and driving without digging the grip into my spare tire or the muzzle into hip/ass...for the most part.  (and yes I realize this is not a question)
The question is...for concealed carry, what do you carry (weapon) and how/where do you carry it, AND....mostly my question was....has anyone tried the Urban Carry G3 type holster?  It is kind of a mini-purse type deal with a flap you grap and pull up and it draws the holster/weapon sort of up out of your pants?  It seems there are very positive reviews on it and they swear it will be your go to method of conceal and draw once you get used to it.  Although, I carry locked and loaded and my weapon has no manual safety, so even though I am confident in my own trigger awareness and the mechanism that actually fires the weapon, I kind of cringe when I see guys who pack the gun kind of pointed toward their own junk (or femoral artery)

Curious to hear from some of you experience folks (and novices too)

I swear the Dems are doing this on purpose...not that I'm implying that they started this, but that they are intentionally dragging their feet to make the process fail and to make the economy fail and ultimately Trump fail.
I have never been strictly a republican or democrat type of person, but my views certainly align with conservative hence republican views.  But I'd swear Pelosi and her fucking henchmen are failing their own constituents simply in order to make Trump fail.
I get it they want to win, and essentially have no way of defeating Trump in an election (Biden?...really?  Biden?), but I do not think costing the nation any further stress on its economy simply in order to oust Trump is what they were voted into office to do.
Shouldn't they be starting riots or something somewhere?  Isn't that their normal modus operandi?

I've never carried IWB, you be better off asking that on a gun forum where there's a bigger sample size. There are forums for every manufacturer, general gun forums, and carry specific forums, you should browse a few different ones
