Glad the Caps beat the Hens yesterday..kind of thought we were due for a win, even if we didn't work for it as hard as we might have.
Also....I am continued to be sickened by the obvious NBC/NHL bias for the Hens. All they could talk about is how great Cindy is or what a great goal that was by Malkin. Or how the Caps only have 10 shots on goal (ahem the Hens had 15 so it was no one-sided offensive explosion by either team)
How about some truth in your coverage. How about what a disgusting display by Malkin to cheap shot a guy and then throw punches (oh sorry....haymakers as the NBC dickheads called them) at Dillon when a linesmen has Dillon covered up. I was so glad Dillon got loose and was able to actual throw at Shrek.
Or a comment on crybaby Crosby's tantrum on the bench. I was actually surprised they didn't congratulate him on being "such a competitor" when he was having his childish tantrum.
How about the fucking diving by Crosby? How about dropping the stick and the lame ass penalty calls for slashing? Fucking Carlson got a hooking penalty for what?....being NEAR Crosby when he went by?
Why the fuck did they not call a slash when Ovi was denied a clear scoring chance when the defender slashed down across him and knocked Ovi's stick out of his hand....just missing his hands.
1) Hold onto you stick. 2) if it isn't on the hands, its not a slash 3) if it does not break the stick, it is not a slash. (of course, I have seen guys just lean down and break their own stick by applying enough weight to get a slashing call)
Anyway, beating the Hens is oh so much sweeter because they get away with the stupid shit, and can do no wrong for NBC Henknobgobblers. FU Eddie Oldchick.

....Nigga, pleeeze. Better equipment? Yeah, better goalie equipment, butter shin pads for ALL the players to block shots with. Better defensive schemes, better goalie analytics. I love Gretzky and he is truly The Great One, but let's be real - Ovi's a better pure goal scorer. You can't really make a fair comparison across different era's, but no way is it easier to score goals now than it was then, and I think it kind of poor taste to rag on a team and Ovi's superstardom in their own barn, and to try and belittle the great accomplishments Ovi has had by implying he has it easier to score today because of the fucking sticks he using. Give Ovi a stick of his choice and Wayne one of his and let Oldchick choose which one he wants to stand in front of for a shot. Or better yet, which one he would want to actually defend against. Wayne could make you look silly with his grace and poise and vision, but Ovi just flat out runs the fuck over you and beats you. I'm not taking anything away from Gretzky, but don't take anything from Ovi by making fantasy Gretzky comparisons.Fucking clowns make it hard to watch their fucking coverage.
