That the Pens dive all the time? That they are trained to dive in any situation that looks like it's a close call, and it's a big reason why the calls go their way? That combined with them treating every call against them like bullshit means the refs pay TOO MUCH attention to things and it manipulates the call of the game.


I earnestly am not of the belief the refs are biased, more so that the Pens push the buttons of the refs correctly. I do think there is some bullshit there, but it's not like even the refs don't acknowledge they dive. They do.

Other than the fact that they don't? The refs get a shit ton of calls wrong, and have been awful, and are especially awful playing the Pens. But they don't get every single call on the ice wrong. And they don't NEVER call the Pens for diving.


That statement isn't somehow agreeing with the Pens diving tactics or excusing the refs for the mistakes they have made. It's just a statement of fact. The shitty Pens manipulate the refs who already have a tough enough time doing the job as it is, which makes the situation even further. The fact that it gets made out as some conspiracy against us (The caps) is where these narrative threads always lose me. It isn't a conspiracy. It's just bullshit. And it's just typical for the Pens lol. Watch any of their other series and it's littered with way more shit calls than any other. It's because the Pens push the refs buttons to create that shit.


I'm not saying it's a good tactic, I'm just saying that is what is going on and it happens every playoffs and it's trash.

Just as expected, the Refs have put away the whistles.  Several chances to try to even up some of the power play advantage for the Pens and no calls.  It's going to have to be won against the refs as well.  Fucking unbelievable.

as the saying goes, even a blind squirrel gets a nut now and then. You posted that the Hens got called once for diving. Even you can admit we see it far more often than that, and we only see them about 10 times a season, counting the playoffs. That's out of an 82 game season, and, when you go to YouTube and search Hens diving, very little of the footage is from Caps games. So at best you are pointing out that the Hens get called on their actions about what, %5 of the time?
