At least it'll all be over in a couple of days. Everyone wants a Caps cup to go through Pittsburgh,  but the NHL will never permit that to happen. Their best chance is avoiding the Pens. 10-1 in series history after this one and have not beaten them since 1994. Going through the Pens is a pipe dream.

We can't whine. Trotz tried it a few times and refs give us bench minors for it. That is what is supposed to happen but because the league loves the Pens they get away with literally whining when ever anything, literally anything, doesn't go their way. They can be up 5-0 in a game and when they take a legit penalty they still whine.


Also lol at the people saying the Pens play a cleaner game. Haha. Yeah clean players are taught to dive to the ice whenever they get the chance to draw penalties. That is "clean".

It really is same bullshit different year.  Pucks deflect in all the time for them -- ours don't get through from the point.  Skill?  I doubt it.  A lot of luck and it never goes our way.  It's infuriating to watch them spend 8 minutes (including the carryover) on the PP in that period.

Since you're new, I'll explain. Pens vs Caps in playoffs equals Pens win. No, this year won't be different and neither will next year or 10 years from now.

As bad as the officiating has been, the Caps are not helping their cause much by gliding around the ice thinking about golf.  We stand no chance unless we wake the fuck up and play hard and fast.  The Penguins appear to want it more than we do.  I still wish I could hit the refs with a sledgehammer.  This is a playoff game and calling ticky-tack bullshit grossly favoring the Penguins is so, so wrong.  I think this is partly responsible for the Caps hanging their heads down. They realize the game is rigged and that's tough to overcome.
