Man, those unknown/undisclosed "upper body" injuries are a pisser. WTF is wrong with Dowd?? Thought he was day to day and practicing in full contact jersey?

I’ve not seen anything on Dowds injury, just “upper body” and it apparently happened at practice. It is possible it was a game injury he was trying to play through and made it worse.

This might be a conditioning stint for Zac Funk, he had been injured and missed quite a bit of time. Pinard appears to be a recent callup from SC and is going back. But, it’s seems something else may be in the works for Hershey to open up two roster spots.

Big Willy has 16 goals.  that's tied for 6th in NHL.  I really hope that pisses a lot of people off.

Pretty impressive for him.  one less than guys like Bedard and Kaprizov.  one more than Draisaitl.  Cindy is having a year with 18g which is 3rd behind Geekie (20) and McKinnon (22)

Nothing official from the Caps yet. It seems the entire organization is working on west coast time. But, according to Sammy, Trineyev has been sent back to Hershey so Dowd could be moved off of IR.


At 6:06, Trineyev is now listed on the Hershey roster, so it’s official. The question is who sits so Dowd can play.

Caps jumped into 1st place in the East.  Guess that happens when you go 9-1 in last ten games.
Very tight all through the East with Caps in 1st with 36 pts, but there's only 5 pts separating Caps (36) and 12th place Detroit (31), with ten teams between them most with 32-34 pts and most have a game in hand on the Caps.
Still nice to be on the winning side

Avalanche lost in regulation to the Isles yesterday ending there 17 game point streak.  Only the second regulations loss for the Avs this YEAR!

McDavid with a hattie yesterday and the Oilers scored 9 goals on Grubby in net for Seattle.  Ouch.  Too bad Edmonton has yet to find a goalie....they could might go somewhere in the playoffs. won 9-4

Mick, what is the proper way to say the Hamlin/Jordan team name? I’ve always heard it called 23 11. This guy has called them 23 X I while covering the law suit.

I must say I'm pleasantly surprised at how the team is playing right now.  They look good and the fact that we're like 3rd in the league in goals is shocking considering what the roster looks like on paper.  Wilson is playing his best hockey, Leonard is really rounding into form (he has great skills) and Ovie on a 40 goal pace?  Who would have thought that?  Sourdif has also been a nice addition and he seems to have a high hockey IQ from what I've observed.  The defense is also stepping up in a big way so far and Thompson has been excellent.  Anyway, let's hope it lasts a good while.

X I (It's 11 in roman numeral's. You probably knew that) That law suit is getting crazy. Lot of the old Nascar guard don't think NASCAR can come back from it if they lose. At one time I'd be overly upset, but they've run the sport into the ground. And the evidence (so far) shows just what greedy fucks they are. People won't stop racing stock cars, so if they do fold or whatever, Im sure someone will build something new. And hopefully get back some roots!   (And if Nascar wins, they say 23 XI (and the other team in the suit) will fold within 2 years, if not sooner)

IMO, the last few games they've looked Cup worthy. It's weird seeing them all play so well. Im sure it'll even out, it's hockey, but if they start slumping again it's gonna extra suck cause now we know what they're capable of. lol

It’s been said for a couple decades that Tony George ruined open wheel racing on this continent. The France family learned nothing from it.

The Caps players were off today, which for some reason means everyone in the front office that works the website and social media is also off.


Today Hershey called up Mitch Gibson from South Carolina, apparently expecting the Caps to call up a spare goalie. If they haven’t already.
