Wonder who's gonna replace Lappi when Dubois is healthy? I don't see him lasting much longer on the big club.

Milano isn’t doing well either, not consistent enough. At the post practice presser, coach said Dubois is definitely out tomorrow vs the Kraken.

The fact that TVR is a scratch further scratches my head about Iorio.  TVR is barely NHL worthy at this point.  Next year he's gone (I hope).  Why give up an asset like Iorio for NOTHING?, when you aren't even playing TVR..  FFS put TVR on waivers, who cares if he's taken.  Iorio could at least be traded for other assets at some point if you don't think he's up to NHL status....even just draft pics later.
other than the fact that Iioro was just thrown away, I LIKE that TVR is sitting.  Nothing against him but he's slow and barely serviceable at this point.  Chisolm is a better option IMO
WILD have some real motors on their squad so I assume that's why TVR is sitting.
they could have put Dubois on IR and saved Iorio.  Yes, still have a problem in couple days when Duby comes off, but then you could try to move MAC.  I know this is all smoke and mirrors, but damn every other NHL team does this BS, might as well use the rules to your advantage.

I'm just back from my daughter's wedding and catching back up. Can't believe they lost Iorio. You can't just lose a 2nd round pick like that unless he was clearly playing so bad that nobody in the league thought he was worth at least a 4th or 5th round pick.  I realize those picks are usually worthless, but c'mon.  I agree with everything Rich and Mick said - just ticks me off to lose a big defenseman like that.

I played golf for my birthday Sunday morning with my 3 of my sons.  1st time I played in a year and 3rd time in 3 years.  Played the previous 2 years on/around Father's day.
My golf game is about as good as the Caps PP....hit one good one every 10-15 tries  :snicker:  Good thing is I have no expectations so it really doesn't frustrate me UNLIKE the Caps.
Had a good time, good weather (except for the wind).  I did win $20 for closest to the pin, not once but 2/4 times.  $5 per player each on the Par 3 holes.  None of my sons expected that or liked that very much, but I sure did.  Didn't Birdie a single hole, had a chance to only 2-3 times really.  Had a few pars, lots of bogeys, doubles, triples, quads, etc, etc.
Feeling it a bit today, but I have learned not to try and over hit...just swing easy and I do okay (and my body doesn't hate me the next day)
My oldest (stepson) is an excellent athlete (well they all are, but he's exceptional at everything),  and that M'fker can hit it about 340.  He drove the green on a par 4 - 320ish yard hole and he hit the back of the green and off the back.  Saw him do that on a 340ish yard hole last year.  Crazy.  Same kid could dunk a basketball at age 15 and was only 5'-10".  Could throw baseball in the 90's at 16-17.  He really really should have played baseball in college - pissed me off when he quit playing baseball to run track  :raised-eyebrow: .  The legion coach told me/him if he would play Legion ball summer after Junior year in HS, he GUARENTEED he'd get a baseball scholarship somewhere by middle senior year.  Nope...got bored with baseball, numfuck.  He kind of regrets it now, but oh well, he's done very well for himself.
Anyway, I digress...played golf yesterday, came home to watch the Caps game late....apparently the Caps showed up about the same time I did...

Yeah, especially at his size.  I don't follow prospects much, but I surveyed the Hershey Roster and their Young D is all shrimps.  I was really surprised they gave him up for nothing.
Especially the timing...Mac didn't come off IR till today, and with Dubuois going on, they had room to float a couple days.  I mean if he is never going to play I get it, but I don't think that is the case...with 2 aging D-men plus in Carlson/TVR, Iorio would have gotten some games this year.  I guess it was inevitable, SOMEONE was going to have to clear at some point, but seems Iorio was like waiver candy - several teams would want him.

Damn, you're right! He's been so invisible I forgot he was playing. If they could find a couple decent linemates, I really think Leonard could take off. Be real nice if they could find 10-20lbs of muscle to add to him.
