I freakin love it when a song that you haven’t listened to in years, and that you liked, but wasn’t a “favorite” comes on. . .and suddenly it’s like the first time you’ve heard it, and you can’t listen to it enough!!

Granted, this is usually a single or “popular” song liked by people who like or own limited material of the artists catalogue so I distance myself from being sick of hearing it and the faux-fans. . .

But I’ve been listening and/or watching this video non-stop for the past two days. . .

I used to like the video way more than the song, and it’s one of all time favorites.   Now admittedly, on the surface this video may look like art-deco-nonsense. . . However, note the large word OUTSIDE. This is second song on The Outside album, which is a concept album about Leon and Ramona A Stone (referenced in the song), who are serial killers that make “modern art” from the body parts of their victims . . .  Now it makes (partial) sense

A lot of people dismiss this as “Bowie trying to be cool again”.  Oh nonono.  Bowie was one of the pioneers of electronic music when he teamed up with Eno for Low, Heros, and Lodger where he started pushing Moogs and Arps to the limit, and brought in Fripp who is more machine than man anyway

20some years later, he now had the tech, the genre improved, and he brought Garson back in to simulate a great man v machine battle . . .     Hehehehe

Jim Henson (Brian Henson performed Hoogle)
Monty Python (Terry Gillam)
and Bowie

With a “legal” Jennifer Connolly

One of the best movies ever

But of course, there’s the ultimate  . . . This cannot be argued with (or appreciated fully sober as it could otherwise)

Surprised you like this movie. I liked it too. And I kind of had a thing for Jennifer Connolly.

Yup this is the movie that made me realize how hot she really is. This was a great scene from the movie. To tell you the truth I didnt even care for the movie but Jennifer Connolly made it worth while.

The wife bought tickets for Metallica today. She sure spoils me. Looking forward to seeing them. Haven't seen them in years.

Headed to see a fellow Motown native Bobby Ritchie on Saturday.   See him every time he comes to MD/VA and even flew to Detroit last September to see him open the LCA.

Two shows turned into 6 and he almost blew up the new building, good thing there’s a fire department across the street from the Baltimore arena 🤣

A tribute to a certain set of fire jumpers, but helps recognize them all

Not sure what genre this would be considered, metal, rock or pop. I'd call it rock but it does have a some pop vocals. Whatever, I like the guitar riff.

I got my first pickup when I was about 20 and promptly built it into a 5.0 killer, up to about 120mph, then aerodynamics started to work. But the faces of the punks in the 5.0 mustangs were priceless.

between that '78 and the '85 that the exact same engine, trans and rear went into, both those trucks ate quite a few socks, not mine. But my date always went home missing one. It's also the reason that to this day I keep a bottle opener in the truck ;D  .
