Hah...when the Caps return from this LONG break...they get a warm up against Montreal (currently 3pts behind Caps) then we play at FLA, at Boston, then home for Vancouver then Avs again.
Looks like at best it will be a 1-3 start after the break


I think I heard one of the talking heads saying the Caps have one of the toughest 2nd half schedules.  Yippee

The one thing about the upcoming drafts and the need to be in the top few picks is that I think we are going to see a lot more depth with some high caliber talent sprinkled all the way through the first round and maybe even into the second round.  Maybe there is a generational talent every year that is head and shoulders above everybody else, but I think it is more likely that there will be 10 to 15, fantastic players that will be picked in the top 30 picks. The Caps just have to pick the right ones!!

I was reading some draft analysis on the twit and they said this years draft is defense heavy? Either way, we could use a good one of those too. Just like the forwards, we don't have an offensive D (that I know of) in the system either.

Unfortunately we won't get much for what we have available. 


Edmonson will be gone for sure and they will get a 3rd rounder - getting a second would be great, but unlikely.


Pacioretti will only get traded if he gets healthy quickly and has some good games before the deadline - if so I bet we get a 4th or 5th rounder and we get credit for doing the nice thing and trading him to a contender.


NAK - I wish they would resign this guy.  He's cheap and works hard.  If they trade him they won't get much.


Mantha - ironically, he may be our best trading chip.  Teams will assume he can crank up that skill set during the playoffs - boy will they be wrong.  But maybe we get a second rounder for him.


Carlson - Caps will never ever trade him, so no use speculating.


Kuzy - just give him away, but don't pay somebody much to take him.  If you can't trade him, send him down to Hershey and see if somebody claims him on waivers!

Sweet! I was always a hat guy. Had some of those old Dale Jarrett #18 trucker style hats. lol They were goofy as hell! 


This weekend is the "clash" out in LA. Supposed to rain HARD apparently and nascar didn't come prepared for rain. Who knows how many millions they've spent and cost teams to prepare to race nascar in the rain the last few years. They brought the tires but no wipers or rain/mud flaps, defrosters, rear lights, etc. They have a 1 off race on the other side of the country, at the smallest and slowest track and don't prepare for rain. lol Fucking idiots run the sport now. I think racing in the rain is about the only thing that would make that little gokart track worth watching.
