The boys have played well the last few games which is great to see, but lets not get too excited. They are 7 points out of 1st, but also only 4 pts away from the cellar spot.
Sad, but Backy stepping away helped this team. Mostly due to McMike's play, but he's gotten a lot more time & opportunity with Backy gone.
I hope Mantha comes back and they can actually gel into a line. I would not have thought it, but I liked McMike/Mantha/Protas.
Also helps to have Dowd back at 4C - I like NAK and Malenstyn with Dowd as a checking line. Phillips is the odd man out for me. I like that he really drives the net and is offensive minded, but he's been a liability at times. Of course he did make a play and get an assist last game.
Milano got some good wheels and is good offensively, but I think he too is a defensive liability. Im guessing that's been the knock on him most of his career - but he does have a scoring punch. Still a little surprised NOBODY signed him before we grabbed him
