Anyways, what I wanted to comment on was Lindy's progression.  At the start of the season he was a pretty average back up goalie.
I did mention early on that I preferred his style of goalying to Kuemper's.  Quicker, more athletic, more aware, etc., but there really wasn't much to choose between them at the beginning.   They both had their flaws and faults, almost polar opposites.
K is the younger of the two, with a CUP ring to his name and Lindy was the career AHL'r.

Somewhere along the line, we seem to have secretly hired Mitch Korn again    .   I swear I've seen glimpses of Holtby in Lindy's play sometimes.

In spite of his 70's porn star moooostache    , he's easily been our team MVP, imho.

Black Ice, I have a question for you.   Well, it's not just for you, but I figure you're probably most likely to know the answer.   

I have mentioned a couple of times now that I think the team always plays better when T J Oshie is about.

Is this statistically true, or is it just my imagination.  Which, let's face it, is entirely possible...........

We need the Hens, Detroit and Islanders all to start playing like Philthy has lately.

That's the part that irks me....Spittsburgh getting in.  I can only hope they're bounced in the opening round, at this point.  🤬

Last nights game really ticks me off. Very little effort and some stupid, stupid plays. Milano made two boneheaded plays in our zone that led to a critical goal and he played lousy all night. Protas has totally regressed in the second half of the season and needs to be sat down.  That was basically a playoff game and they had no physicality, no effort and made mistakes all night!!


The only bright spots might have been Alexyev and Iorio  - and maybe a flash or two of potential from Lappy.  Oh, and I did think Pacioretti actually acted like he cared which was more than most of our guys.

One more thing - I watched most of the BC-Michigan game and it was great. Both of those teams have a lot of talent and could have definitely beaten the Caps last night. In fact, I might take the BC team over the Caps if we could just trade them team for team.

Yea, so far not a single youngin we have took any steps the 2nd half of the season. Was hoping someone would start to stand out, but they're all just so-so to this point. Looked better their first months up than down the stretch. Hopefully in the offseason they can gain another step.. Cause if we go into next year scoring 2 or less most games, it'll get old real quick. I'd rather suck at D and score goals than, well, suck at both. lol Our leaders are too old to lead much as well I guess. Even Wilson has disappeared for the most part. Sad to see..
