I don't know what is going on with Dowd since he came back. Yes, he  has scored a couple goals, but I think he has not played well at all. He was awful against the Bruins with terrible passing and decisions.  Maybe he is still hurt.  Protas has also been lousy since he came back.

Cup Series at RIR tonight! Done gone green!! Start was amazing on "wet" tires.. Nascar had to ruin it with a "competition caution" on lap 30 to go back to slicks..  They could fuck up a wet dream I swear. lol

NASCAR don’t run on Easter Sunday

You missed a doozy at RIR!! lol All kinds of drama. Nascar not knowing how/when to use the wet tires, wasting laps due to pit road being wet, non competitive pit stops so they could change back to slicks. Kinda screwed up stage 1, even though it was "interesting" to say the least. Plus on wets the cars were 4 wide, racing all over the place. Then strategy in stage 2 and 3. Larson and Truex battling/swapping the lead. Then Wallace spins Larson (who faded) for 4th, with Truex getting ready to take the white flag. G/W/C overtime. Denny jumps from 3rd to 1st on pitstop. Then jumps the restart but nascar don't care. lol Truex door slamming Larson on the last lap cause he was pissed he went from winning to 4th, then he and Larson body slam down into turn 1 after the flag. Then he rams Denny 3x coming back to pit road cause he "jumped the start, then used me up in turn 1". Fans booing Denny at his home track.. All that on Easter Sunday!!

Big game tonight! Definitely could/should win, but it's hockey! Can't wait to see who's in/out of the lineup! You know it won't be the same. Never is! Probably 50/50 on Oshie. He took a hit Sat. and had maintenance yesterday.

You can't sleep on Buffalo.  They are a better team than their record, whereas the Caps are actually worse than their record I think in all honesty.

How many games you think Oshie plays next season?

If it weren't for the money, I think Oshie would definitely retire. My bet is he plays 30 games next year.


The Caps should be in the cat-bird seat with the games in hand they have, but it will probably come down to the last game of the season - which will be kind of fun - I guess.

Im surprised Oshie has played in over 50% of the games this year. Wonder what the team/management thinks of part time players? Do they think playing half the games in 5 game spurts outweighs the disruption to the lineup all the time? I dunno. He doesn't add much outside of cheerleading anymore. I hope he retires or at least "steps away from the game" so he can still get paid, but we can look for his replacement. Somehow we need a superstar forward and it's not going to be coming via draft. Maybe there's a FA or trade to be made this offseason..

I think a couple of big FA signings will do us good.  TJ'S contract expires after next year so I suspect it will be his last year

I expect there will be several FA's out there this summer when 15/16 teams fail in the playoffs this year

Stromer leads the team in Goals, Points and GWG.  He's having a nice season despite the rest of the group.
Career high in goals this year and needs 3 more points to match his career high in total points (last year)

Funny looking at the stats...TJ Oshie is 2nd on the team with 42 PIMs...what a goon.  Willy leads of course with 120.  Surprisingly, Ovie only has 20 Pims all season...that's got to be a record low for him.  What a team of ruffians we have.

Milano leads team in +/- with +5.  Only 5 players are in the plus.  You know something's amiss when you +/- leaders are the guys who play the least

Iorio is the only Dman even close to a + number (and yes, he's only played one game).  I thought he played well the other night.  If Caps don't bring in some real D in the offseason, I'd bring Iorio up and ship one of the old guys off.
