Caps do like to grab Russians.  Hopefully the Kid has really broad shoulders as that name is gonna be running down both sleeves  .  He will be just old enough to actually play (for the Caps) when Ovie retires.


And Vitek gone....one down, one to go as far as I'm concerned.  Enough with these 26 year old "young" goalies.  Sammy is 25, Vitek 26, and Vasilevskiy is 27.  Vasilevskiy has been a primary starter since 2016 so.....time to get off the pot.

I don't think there's any doubt if the "kid" stays healthy, he'll be an impact player in the NHL.. Availability, imo, will be his biggest hurdle. Look up his highlight reel.. He's tough, plays 200', can skate, definitely can stick handle and shoot. Needs to put on a few lbs, but he's got the "it" factor..

we’ll see, if team management does anything worthwhile in the next two weeks I’ll be impressed. Not holding my breath though.

I liked the draft results.  The Roosky first round pick is gonna be good - real good.  The second guy they got is solid.  Most importantly, they didn't make any stupid trades and waste future picks.


I'm betting that they go after Gibson for goalie.

Letang signed 6 year $36.1m extension with Hens.  That keeps him through age 41.  Ooh-Fah.
That will give him 21 years of playing with the Hens.  (Drafted 2005, Hens NHL squad 2007)

And yea, Hamlin owes Chastain a couple DNF's.. You see how fucked up his car was at the end and he still finished 2nd? You can't just spin him out, you have to make sure his car is hurt.. If these new cars don't break a suspension part, they just keep on going. New Hampshire will be a decent candidate for 1 of them. Almirola during the race said "I better not see him at Food Lion next week"    I don't know what he did to Almirola, but he's just the latest on the list to be on the wrong side of something Chastain did. He also spun Truex earlier in the race, making that twice he's also spun Truex this year. He got Elliot the same race he initially got Hamlin.. Dude is making enemies all over the garage. Oh, he knocked Allmendinger out of the way for his win early in the year at COTA. Guess we'll see if any of these guys are anything more than all talk. lol
