I asked all the usuals on Twitt and nobody can answer what "need" there is for Toronto to "ask" for anything.. Teams can challenge, there is no "limit", so it's totally a heavy handed way of Toronto (NHL) asking their employee's to check something they think is wrong. Also can't get anyone to tell me how many GI requests from Toronto have ever been upheld. My guess is 0%. What ref is gonna tell their employer, "nah, I got it right, go pound sand"??
