So let's do something different today and set aside all the gloom and doom and look for bright spots...
1) Willy: Let's not forget he underwent a serious injury and major surgery, but he looks as good now as he ever has. He has honed his craft a little, but he is a force every team has to reckon with, He has speed, size, good hands, and is one of the most intimidating forwards in the game. I would not enjoy playing against him.
2) McMike: I was really on the fence with him, but a full year in Hershey apparently gave him the seasoning he has needed. He is far and away a better player this year. I always forget how young he is because he has been around for several years . He is only 22 years old. IF he continues to progress he can be a legit top 6 guy
3) Stromer: Not sure what he's smoking but keep it up. I didn't really expect him to be top 6 but dude does have some skills and pretty good sniper. Keep it up.
4) Fever: I think he is a defensive stud. Great skater, decent size and plays physical, which is more and more rare these days. I think he can continue to improve.
5) Malenstyn: Not the same caliber as rest of this list, but he has greatly improved over last year. Their is at least hope with him; and 6'-3" and great speed is a plus
6) Johnny Q Norris: hate to put him on the list, but let's face it...he does everything on this team. He logs the most minutes, plays all special teams, and his game has not steadily declined (yet). His contract has always been too much, but his play has helped this team for the entirety of his time hear.
Okay, so the sky isn't falling. Its just very dark and overcast (for the foreseeable future)
