I thought Willy looked outstanding, probably the best player on the ice. He has to be a scorer for us this year. He has the speed and hands, and size and so on. Much more skill than I think people credit him
Backy honestly looked better than he has in years. Hard to tell in preseason, but he didn't look slow
McMichael actually looked like he belonged there - hopefully he makes the jump for real and contributes
Kuzy certainly looked better...anytime he is circling like sharks on the prowl, he is usually on his game....carrying the puck and driving the play.
Miko (cherry) looked pretty good. Got to be awesome for him actually playing on a line with a Russian idol like Ovi.
Lindy looked very good
I think Carbery's system will be more fun for the guys (if their old bones can keep it up) and I think that will help drive guys like Kuzy and McMike who may not have flourished well under old school. Plus its sort of a fresh start for everyone so there's hope.
