the whole thing has gotten beyond stupid. In previous cars putting a full load of fuel in is what dictated the length of pit stops. They move to spindle mount wheels, because they are so popular in stock automobiles, shortens the time needed to change tires and to make up for that they restrict the fuel flow from the cans so refueling takes longer.
I get going to overhead cam engines, push rod motors are going the way of the dinosaurs. But going to a transaxle is stupid. And based on what I saw in L.A, those things won’t hold up at short tracks and road courses where they are constantly shifting and under full load.
