OV currently has 780 career goals. Howe has 801, 786 with one team.

sooo, OV will get the most goals with one team record with 7 goals, and..
will likely be the only player ever to get 800 with one team.

OV needs 115 more goals to pass Gretzgy. That’s three more seasons at 40 goals per, which is highly probable.

Im hoping OV gets another 50 goal season to be the oldest player with a 50 goal season, the record for most 50 goal seasons, and then be only 65 goals shy of breaking the all time record.

All this is only if the caps don't win the cup - if all can happen even better!

Hope in one hand, shit in the other....see which fills up first  :snicker:

Yes, I agree - like to see another 50, but I think that probably doesn't happen.  Not enough other assets or serious scoring threats on this team currently so other teams can afford to focus more on Ovie - especially on our PP where Ovie gets a large portion of his goals, and our PP has been pretty predictable lately.  Maybe that changes with the added assistant coach, but we will see.
But then, I wasn't expecting 50 from him last year either so who knows.  He should have had at least 2, possibly 3 other 50g seasons already that were cut short where it was a certainty he would have gotten 50 again, so I agree I'd like to see him get another and like you said hold down the record for most ever.

Go Ovie.  Go CAPS

Nats holding steady at 37.5 games back with 37 games left to play (I think).  For damn sure I'm not asking Alta to help me count  :snicker:

My son is going to the Nats game tonight...(and I ask myself.....WHY?).  Pretty sure there's some wise biblical verse about a fool and his money....

I'd go! Whats it cost? I like to go see the Daytona Tortugas every now and then. They usually suck, but it's fun to watch some baseball, eat a stadium hot dog and drink some cold beer!

pro baseball is a tad more expensive to attend than minors

This from last nights bush race..

and at 5:15 eastern, the humidity is higher than the temperature in Daytona. They should stick with July 4.

   I know minor league ball is cheaper. It's like 5$ to get in, 1$ hot dogs and 2 for 1 beers on select nights.  :P  I'd still go to a pro game if it wasn't too expensive. Like 40$ for the ticket, dog or burger and a couple beers. It's probably 15$ just for a beer though..

Nascar shouldn't just keep July 4 weekend in Daytona, they should keep the 10am start time as well. Don't believe they ever had a postponement back in the day, when they ran the Firecracker 400 at 10am..

His tickets were $40 each plus a $30 surcharge.  Second deck front row kind of behind dugout.  He had a good time.  Said the 2 best hot dogs he ever had....at $14 each, I hope so  8-0
Also he had some frozen daquiri for $17 along with other beverages.  Sounds like he dropped about $200 for the night.  Kinda steep for a starving college student working part time for my tight ass, but they had a good time.

I used to go to Prince William Cannons on occasion - like you said $5 to get in and hella lot cheaper food.   Haven't been in prolly 15 years.  Old fart stick in the mud I am.

Absolutely - don't need to tell you that afternoon showers in Florida in the summer are about as predictable as the sun rising in the East.  Only downside is the track is slicker in the heat and it makes "The Big One" even more inevitable.  You take out everyone running well and have an Austin Dillon slide into the chase.

Yea, I'd have to pass on that. I guess if your a fanatic or something, maybe once a year? Too bad they're a crummy team to boot. Anyway, glad he had fun!  :)

As of today (according to CapFriendly) the Caps have the third highest salary in NHL behind Vegas & Tampa Bay.
Friggin Vegas is $10+ million over the cap currently.  Tampa +$7.1 & Caps +$6.3

Of course, that's with Backy, Wilson, & Hags figured in that total salary - which is a current IR "relief" sum of $17.1m
That's also 13 forwards PLUS the 3 on IR, 7 Defensemen and 3 goalies.  So they won't carry that many players anyway.

Caps have a shitload of UFA's next season.  5 of 7 defensemen will be UFA's and Fever will be an RFA.  5 forward UFA's and 2 RFA's next year.  I don't know if that's normal but the team WILL look different after this season.

Hell, it looks a little different now.  Curious to see how we compete this year.

32 days until exhibition game 1
43 days until Season opener at home vs the B's

Go Caps.

the only thing I’ve liked about Harvick over the years, when he’s pissed at nascar he says it

Yep, only a few of em' left. Harvick, Kyle and Brad are about the only ones left who'll call out nascar. Hamlin used to, before he became an owner.

I just knew JGR would figure out a way to lose that one. Oof..

As a very casual observer to this cluster, it appears the new generation of car didn’t hold up well at its first run on a real demanding track. If you come across an article that describes sour puss face’s engine failure Id like to see it.
