And STOP ragging on Poutine already.  The Canadians are getting restless.

and yes....I'm bored.

and yes...it makes me a dick

Just ask CanadianCapboy (aka Poutine boy)
I think we are all bored. No hockey, covid restrictions and temperatures around -40. Not much to do.

Where does the gravy come from?
There's no meat iin poutine, right?  So where do you get the gravy from?       What flavour gravy is it?

Well there's no meat in biscuits either, but that doesn't stop us from pouring gravy over them to make them a meal.  Just ask Mick.

Poutine is a DISH consisting of Fries (chips luvie) covered with cheese curds (eww but lets just say cheese) and then covered in gravy....  Brown gravy....  Hell you pick the gravy.
I get the fries and gravy....(like potatoes and gravy) but The cheese curds does not sound appetizing but that's just me. (WTF is a curd?)  So basically its cheesy fries with gravy.  Maybe it's delicious.  I'd give it a try.

And for the record...I wasn't trying to start a "rag on Poutine" thread....it was just a comment that maybe someone peed in his poutine cause he seemed a little aggressive.
But NOW we, okay mostly Lil  :raspberry:   has beaten this poor dead poutine horse....to death.  Ask DC - I'm pretty sure he's had poutine.,,I think it came up in a thread long time ago.

Okay so cheese curds are "moist pieces of curdled milk eaten alone as a snack or used in prepared dishes".  Sounds yummy.  But really I guess it is just fresh young cheese.  I'm not that up to date on the cheese process but isn't cheese pretty much just aged milk?  I'd say cheese curds are maybe the young undeveloped cheese fetuses?  Okay, that's uncalled for, but maybe I'll order my poutine sans the curds (and with a side of biscuits)

Apparently poutine is available in several places near me.  Most of them bars/pubs and they present it like an appetizer.  I thought it was more of a breakfast thing in Canada, but....really had no idea why I thought that.  It appears to have originated in Quebec in the 50's.

Back to the poutine....Fried chips. fatty cheese and indiscriminate "gravy"... whch one would hope would be made from animal juices............
Surely that is late night after clubing food?   Isn't that the equivalent of a greasy burger or a kebab at 4 in the morniing?

I did the beach house at Dewey thing years ago for a few seasons, and you people think I drink a lot now. There was a place that was open after the bars closed that sold wings and fried conch. Not as the same dish. The fried conch was frikin awsome at 2:00am
