Eller hasn't really played well at any time this season thus far.  He isn't necessarily a guy I'd expect to have a Stanley Cup hangover, but who knows?  Being moved up to the top 6 doesn't really suit him -- he really is a #3 center -- but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

Some life in our guys still, even after that appalling start to the 2nd period.  But we're still fighting and battling.  A little dis-jointed, for sure, but we need some heart in the 3rd.  Some heart and some sheer brute force.  Batter them!  Make that plastic sing!

      Eller is a meathead. I think he had a couple decent games this but the rest have been terrible. He has actually been on the ice for more 5 on 5 goals against than any other Caps player. Its been a pretty brought season for him. Started when he got embarrassed by Marchand for showboating on the 7th goal of a 7-0 blowout.

That was probably the worse 2nd period we have played this season.  The first two minutes was about as bad as it gets.  Hopefully we can pull this out although we are getting outshot by a wide margin.  Have to tighten up.  Holtby is looking good so that is a plus.  Now we need to get Kuzy and Oshie back although I doubt whether they will play Wednesday since the Caps do not practice tomorrow.  They won’t play until they have practiced with the team.
