NBC reported the Caps media said he was “questionable” to return tonight.  So either the injury isn’t that bad, or the Caps were playing with the Knights to make them think he might return.

If you believe anything a team announces during a game you are insane.  They make shit up to distract the opponent, the fans, the announcers.


What an incredibly save from Holts!  We will always remember "THE SAVE."  I can't believe he kept that out.

Wow!!!  We won!!  Played sooo hard, despite crazy penalties, some mental mistakes, losing Kuzy.  Holtby is OUR goalie and he is great!!  Don't want to hear about that &%$# Marc Andre Fleury ANYMORE.


I think we are seasoned now in this series--getting beat up in front of the refs, winning in this stupid city, playing without Kuzy, and holding them without a goal for so long tonight! 


I do love our team and so love watching this sport when they are playing.  Also--kudos to all of the Caps fans in Vegas (again) and to the thousands of fans who were at the watch party in DC.  That is SO heartening.  I can't wait to see the Caps in that arena on Saturday in a sea of red.  So deserved after tonight.

And being the first team to do that to Vegas is sure to put doubt in their minds now!

Good point!  It's nice to be the team that messes with the other team's confidence/psyche, rather than being on the receiving end.

If the center position is as depleted as it seems it might be, Travis Boyd may get the call.  If Stephenson goes to center and Beagle is OK, then Chaisson may get the call, though what they really need is fresh FAST legs.


People complaining about the extra day off for travel and the spread-out series schedule can thank the NHL for it now.

There's only so much you can do if your significant injuries all occur at the same position.

You'd be surprised  what can be done with pharmaceuticals. I once went to ski in Chamonix in the French alps.  I hurt my foot so badly that I could barely walk or put my ski boots on without excruciating pain.  I took a heater gun to my boot and made a bulge to relieve pressure a bit on the painful area and I went to a doctor every couple days to get a steroid shot in that spot on my foot.  I skied the entire week and it was pretty tolerable.  I even skied the famous Vallée Blanche, an all day treacherous run. Even if Kuzy cracked  his hand. He might be able to go with a few screws and some local pain killer for a few games. This is it, for all the marbles. If he CAN go he will go.

Trotz mentioning the hit on Kuzy was questionable...is that the general sentiment here?  I'm not sure...don't know enough about 'legal' v. 'illegal' hits.
