Sorry but I'll never believe we win in the 2nd until we finally do. I can't. I've been let down too much from this team. I still need to set the expectations that low. Good win tonight though, good response in that third period really frustrated the Pens after a ticky tacky and pretty panic looking 1st and 2nd.

That being said what a gut check win for our boys! Bigtime goal to open the third from Kuzya.
Super pass off the pad from Ovi to Vrana for the GWG.
Nice to see Phil victimized by TJ for the first ENG and Eller certainly worked hard enough to deserve the second ENG.
PenHL did all they could to give the hens a win. Too many men? Nah... Oh that's a trip by DSP!

   He must have some kind of injury. He left in the 3rd period. Even before that they had Stephenson taking faceoffs instead of Backstrom. And on the pp Kuzy was taking faceoffs and he sucks so you know something is wrong with Backstrom.

regarding the horrible officiating, I've seen the NFL, NBA and MLB release statements after their refs/umps screwed the pooch saying as much and issuing an apology for it. Has the NHL ever done the same?? I don't recall ever seeing it.

I'm really learning to hate Jake Guentzel.

    I thought Guentzel gave Carlson a shot to the head late in the game. I'd have to see a replay. Carlson didn't go down either. I can honestly say the Caps don't really dive often to draw penalties. We don't get the calls anyway so why try to draw it. We would get an embellishment penalty.
