Me too. But Trotz is a save looser.
You guys are kidding. You want Vrana or Gersich with Ovie and Kuzy. That line has already struggled defensively. And you want to throw a rookie with them. That makes absolutely no sense.Vrana isn't a very smart player.

I thought they played better overall than in Game 3.  They just couldn't convert on the PP enough.  Stupid unnecessary penalty by Oshie to give the Pens a PP, which they scored on.  I still don't know what Smith-Pelly was doing on that play.  He gave Niskanen his stick and then just drifted around like a spectator while the Pens scored.  The standing rule for any guy breaking his stick should be to get to the bench immediately.  Guys without sticks are completely useless.  Ovie and Kuznetsov were also pretty much invisible last night.  They have to be much more impactful in Game 5 which the Caps need to have any chance in this series.

Damn Correct

This shows how poorly this roster was built.  There are four forwards that can’t be moved or replaced, and more that can’t play anything then theirs natural position. This is rec-league shit.

Worse yet, many of them can’t adjust to a new player, New line or new system.

Hell, you have 6’4” 200ft powerforward that is an excellent screener, one school says put him with Ovie and Suzy, and park him in front of the net, particularly to screen a goalie who likes to buteerfy and his weak high and high stick. . .

. . . Mind . . .  blown.  And imagine what the Hens would say. . .  ??? :-( :'(

For NHL players to be so unverstile, inwillimg, and unfamiliar with different positions, roles, and schemes is just inexcusable

When management signed Gersich they said he was brought in to help in the playoffs. Management then gave him a grand total of 32:11 TOI to get him ready for the playoffs.

Despite the locker room talk that not having Wilson has no effect, after watching the last game that clearly isn’t the case. Even if Willy hadn’t checked anyone he was clearly in the heads of the Hens, and they played better with him gone. As May said, the ONLY reason he was suspended was because of the crying from Shitsburgh.

The rest of the games with the Hens the Caps can not afford these stupid stick penalty’s, and that bench minor at the end of the game is an inexcusable mental mistake.

Simple fact is that with the Caps shooting themselves in the foot and the refs out to help the Pens this series is over in 6. It was expected going in and we just got our usual dose of false hope when they went up 2-1.

First, Connolly or Chaisson would have been better options on the RW of the 1st line than DSP.

Second, you could easily put Oshie on the top line and place Vrana or Gersich on the second line if them being a liability is a concern. Both Backstrom and Stephenson are defensively responsible and Oshie creates space.

The fact is there were so many options that would have been better than DSP on the top line. If you're going to handicap a line, don't handicap the top line because neither Ovi or Kuzy are going to change their game and you're just going to be left with one forward that can't keep up.

I felt that the less we messed with the 2nd and 3rd lines the better. We played pretty well in Game 4 for much of the game. The god damn refs were screwing us with missed calls, and that call on Oshie was total bullshit. Oshie did not trip anyone. It was another diving performance by the Penguins. until the league hemmers the fuck out of players that dive the Penguins especially are going to use diving to give refs an opportunity to make shit calls.  There were son many missed embellishment calls in this game.  i don't know how a grown man can have any self-respect when he does that shit.

Did I say this already? I'm having a deja vu.

Lol you guys are all over DSP. He has played well in the playoffs, he is just lacking on skill and no Connolly or Chaisson wouldn't be better in that line. Connolly is another weak defensive player. Chaisson is closer to DSP. He doesn't have a lot of skill either but he isn't playing as well as DSP.
And guys please stop it with Vrana and Gresich. Vrana is totally clueless out there. Terrible with and without the puck. He shows the odd flash and people think we have something. And Gersich just isn't ready. You can see that in the limited time he has played.

Regardless, we should score more than one.
