Team has a talent problem. Good hustle, poor talent. I'd say they need to shorten the leash on Ovi but everybody else sucks too so.. Whatever.

I just don't get Carbs choices in the shootout.  The guys that seem to score the most in shootouts are the ones that cruise in and shoot from 10 feet away - or the super-skilled stick handling guys or which the Caps have none.  Why not have Protas and Chicky out there to shoot from 10 feet?

So we have five guys that are basically the same player - undersized forwards that can have a good game every once in a while, but are generally pretty invisible - Lappy, Beauvy, Sourdif, Milano and McMike.  They are all decent complimentary players, but a good NHL team can get away with one or two of them - not 5!  McMike is a keeper, but the rest can go.

0 goals on 5 shootout attempts aint good.
Honestly i have no problem with Strome, McMike, and Lenny out there...they all have very good hands and Lenny flat out made the goalie look bad on his one previous SO attempt.
Got no problem with Beavy but I'd put Protas and several others out before him, and sad to say it, but Ovi's SO days are over (or should be).
I think there's more art than science to the SO, and with a team that just doesn't have tons of top end talent, it's hard to pick em.  We just don't have any great goto guys for the SO.

Nice to see Milano score btw.  Sure would be nice to see Ovi net a couple soon.
