Ducks lose in OT. PFffffffff.
Guess who was out of position, missed coverage on his man (the goal scorer) for this GWG? John Q Dylan Carlson.
His offensive instincts to abandon his position and prematurely head up ice, left his area of ice wide open for the GWG.
All 5, well at least 4 Ducks failed to do their job or recover, but JC is the right D here and the crease and left corner of the net is WIDE open for the guy to stand there alone and score from. It's not like the man snuck in behind the D from the blue line either, this man comes from the low right corner, across bottom of face-off circle, across the crease and turns and plants by the side of net and waits on the puck. JC is up between the top of face off circles heading up ice. Not Johnny's fault, but sure was his responsibility and postiion.
This of course happens to the best players on every team, and when i first watched this I did not know who was on the ice and though..Oh, that's terrible coverage by the Ducks and the D man is way out of position....then i watch the replay several times and thought...that's our Johhny.
