Thank you Jesus!! No more Muller Power Play to blame. Hope they get someone who can figure it the fuck out. That and playing his best players on PP1. I don't agree with trying to "balance" it. Just put out Chychy or Hutson, Leno, Strome and Ovi/Wilson and see what happens during the first 60-70 seconds. Please! For the love of god.  :snicker:

And yea, that puck was across the line. Least the shots I saw on twitter were. Skate blade covered the line, but common sense says it's over the line, clearly. And we all know from past "offside" calls, all they need is "It's probably over the line" to call offside, so not sure why it'd be any different for a goal.. Im throwing the draft pick out and rooting for Carlson's boys to eliminate Edmonton!  :raspberry:

* Figures, the Flyers are in full choke mode now.  :(

i watched last media thing with GM and VP, when asked about any coaching changes, they deferred and said they had not talked with Carbs yet...which says to me they were planning on a change.

I mean, nobody in the east is very good? The Hurricanes will probably be the representative.. If the Caps could of made it, they'd have as good a chance as anyone, imo..

Montreal won. I suspect the Pens are gonna force game 7. 0-0 with less than 2 mins to go in regulation. Flyers just looks too young and scared.. We'll see.

Well the most important thing is Flyers beat Shitsburgh.  Now we get to watch the most boring and lackluster second round in history.

Fuck Vegas, Double OT. pfffffffffffffff.  Didnt really think the mammoth would get it done, but a boy can hope can't he?

Honestly none of the playoff teams really look that great.  They all have some strong aspects but nobody really dominant except maybe the Canes and the Avs.  Never know how that puck will bounce though so everyone has a shot I guess.  I just don't look at any of these teams in the east and really fear having to play them.  Wish Edmonton would wake the hell up.

Shit, didn't need anything wacky to suspect that. Flyers got dominated from the 2nd period till the end. Just got that 1 seeing eye shot from down town! Lucky for them, that was all that was needed.. Think they only had 7 shots on goal the last (nearly) 40 minutes of the game. Hens did everything BUT win, thankfully!

Now if they can catch a cold/rusty Carolina team and steal a win or two! Though, the farther they get, the more dangerous they'll be in the future.  :-(  Just sucks that we missed out. East is wide open imo.. Agree with Hillbilly, Avs vs Hurricanes looking like the finalists at the moment.

LT getting screwed on the Vezina finalist' list is top tier bullshit.

I’m not surprised LT didn’t get more of a mention for the Vezina. The overall team record/making the playoffs seems to a big factor as well. Even though it’s not supposed to be.

Need I remind you the Caps still get fucked because of that one outdoor game where Steckel got blamed for giving Crosby a concussion yet Crosby played the very next game 48 hours later where he got plastered head first into the glass by Headman. The Shitsburgh press still solely blames the Caps for that, and we all know how the NHL favors Shitsburgh.

A Minnesota franchise has never won The Cup. The North Stars moved to Dallas where the Dallas Stars won a Cup.

And in other news, Sonny Milano has signed to play next year in Europe.  So that ends his Caps tenure and eliminates a bottom-6 depth piece.

Minnesota beats Dallas, advances to round two.

Anaheim won the Cup about 20 years ago, the last time Edmonton won it was about 40 years ago. I’m not concerned with the Carlson deal at this point.

I mean, LET'S GO DUCKS!! Amiright?  :snicker:

I didn't think a team could burn 2 superstars potential as bad as the Caps did with Ovi/Backy, but Edmonton is sure giving it a go! I guess they still have a couple years to get it done, but McDavid/Draisaitl aren't getting any younger..

Glad for Carlson and the Ducks! Im sure they'll crash back to earth here soon, but they'll be who I root for the rest of the season!

Feel bad for McDavid.  He signed a very team-friendly contract so they could get players and he is left holding the bag. He has 2 more years at Edmonton and I would not be surprised to start hearing he wants a trade. IMO he is the most skilled player to ever lace them up. He and Ovi are two very different players, so I am not dissing Ovi.  McDavid just is electric and it is a shame he has not won a Cup.

Stinks that our Anaheim draft pick is gonna slip. Heck, they could keep going.

I saw some posts about Caps getting McDavid.  Yeah it would be nice to see him here playing with the young talent we have and Tom and a SOLID goaltender.  Imagine if the Caps had a real legitimate scoring threat, that could actually get the puck into the O zone all by himself, and single handedly win you a game now an then.
It's a nice fantasy, and I certainly would take McDavid as a FA, but trading for him would be impossible.  YOu would have to send all your young talent in return, and you'd be left with McDavid and a bunch of old guys.  YOu'd have a weaker version of what Edmonton has. less the Draisaidle piece.
It looksto me like Oilers just didn't quite have it this year.  They struggled quite a bit this season and didn't look like the threat they were in the last few seasons.  I don't think they are washed up and done, but the clock is ticking louder for sure.  Maybe they right the ship next year.  I think all the trade whispers are just that..whispers.

Yay Minnesota.  BOO Vegas.  I guess Ima root for the Wild from here on.  Nobody left that i like.  I don't mind the Avs, but damn they have had their share of success.
And Montreal...WTF are you doing?  you can't score 1 goal in a whole game?  It seems nobody in the playoffs has any scoring punch this year.

If and when McDavid leaves Edmonton, it will be on his terms and he will only go to a top tier contender.  He's got enough money and just needs the Cup.  Like Ovi, he deserves at least one Cup!

I've always liked the Avs as they have the second best guy in terms of overall skills - McKinnon - just unbelievable. I like watching that whole team play and I think they have another gear that nobody else has.

The Canes can be really good as well so I would not be surprised to see them in the finals.

On another note, I guess we had a prospect join up with Hershey and play to other night - Gastron?  Maybe some others? I wonder how they are doing.
