I got a thing tonight, I’m not sure what time I will be back.

meh, i watched that interview, and the article makes it sounds like this was next in Carb's plan, but really it was more of a what if scenario...like there's 30 seconds left in OT and you have an o-zone face off, and you are facing a monster SO team who has lots of SO success...then do you consider getting more aggressive and pulling the goalie.
The fact that you lose the standings point if you lose in OT, tells me this would be very unlikely that you pull your goalie.
I don't think I realized you didn't get the point if you lost in OT.  Makes me even more nervous in OT now.

You still get a point even if you lose in OT.  Otherwise, there would be no need for OTL in the standings.  You'd only need a category for SO losses.

that's what I thought. Then i don't understand WTH the RMNB article was talking about.  Losing a point?
So do you lose your OT point if you pull your goalie and lose?

"Carbery’s even gone so far as to consider pulling the goalie late in overtime. An extra skater could push the Capitals over the edge for the win, but if opponents score on the empty net, Washington would forfeit the point they’d normally earn for an OT loss."

I don't remember for sure, but there "may" be a rule about pulling the goalie in OT and not getting the OT point if you do so and lose?

I also didn't listen/read the article. Just saw the headline and chuckled.

Shades of NASCAR here. Maple Grove selling to IHRA is akin to Richmond selling to Indy car.

These big series not using the facilities to their potential is causing this. NHRA came once a year and panders to TF and FC. IHRA is grass roots and will probably triple the usage of Maple Grove. Sucks they'll only be running 1/8 mile though. if RIR wasn't owned by Speeway Corp (Nascar) and there was a good competing series, they'd probably sell too. Nascar is killing RIR. Mainly due to their piece of crap Next Gen car. Down to 1 race a year now..  :-(

It appears the flu is going through the locker room. Tonight’s lines will be a game time surprise.

Leonard skated this morning, no contact

Mick..

Thanks bro! Been watching a lot of video's about it. One showed the altitudes being a lot more erratic. Like they kept climbing and dropping. (As if the engine would refire, and they'd try to gain altitude, then descend when it cut out.) But from what this guy said it appears it could of just been pilot error with the weather/visibility and gauges possibly not functioning properly. Just a terrible situation for all involved. I also read his wife texted her mom and said "were in trouble"..   :-(

Good news about Leno!! Hopefully he doesn't have any setbacks and gets back on the ice sooner than later! I'd guessed around the 3rd of Jan.

The NTSB does this for every crash, some don’t have the media interest. The first 1:45 is dead air..

Dude sounds like he knows his stuff! Hopefully they have enough evidence to determine what actually happened.
