Just looked and Alexyev only had 9 minutes of ice time.  Our 3rd and 4th lines aren't playing that much either. Dowd, Beauvy and Duhaime only had 12 about 12 minutes each.  I'd like to see them out there more.

We really have to do something about Carlson. He has been horrible the whole series. I would think he might be hurt, but if so, you would think they would limit his minutes and at least keep him off the PK.

I hate to say this, but they also need to tone down Alexyev in front of our net.  He is taking down guys and getting stupid penalties.  Otherwise though I think he has been pretty good.   I have to check, but it seemed like they took down his minutes last night after that penalty - which meant more for Dylan.

We sure do miss Fever.
Yes Carlson has been horrible.  He's on the ice for both PPG against last night, and was out of position on both.  He's just standing around and he's gotten beaten to pucks trying to hustle back many times...he just looks slow, so I think there is something wrong other than his age. (I hope)  He is also misses the net on nearly every shot attempt.
Fever missing hurts a lot, but most on the PK - he's our best PK dman and also blocks the most shots.  His absence is also leading to more ice time for the other D which allows their weaknesses (ahem...Carlson) to be exposed.  Sandin has looked better all year, but PK is not his forte, and it shows when he' out there as well.
We can't go deep in the playoffs the way this D-core has played.  Fever going down further exacerbated that problem.

It's too bad Carlson has become a plug. Thankful he did get back and stop that short handed break the Habs were about to have. But yea, he's slow and his coordination is off.  It's like he knows what he's supposed to do, he just can't do it. Maybe the 2 days rest will help.

The battle of Florida resumes tonight at 7pm, at Panthers. Panthers lead 2-1.

I saw Ilya Protus has been moved to Hershey now that his OHL playoffs are done.  He absolutely tore up the OHL this year...50G 74A in 61 games is crazy
So i don't know how the age thing works - he is 18, and I don't follow the minors much.  Will he play Hershey next year do you think?  I can't see OHL doing him any good again next year.
Also noticed he will wear brother Alexai's number in Hershey (#40)
