How?  They aren't that good.  We all know that, but somehow this team is scratching/willing itself toward a realistic shot at the playoffs -- for what that's worth, at a time where they really aren't competitive with several of the top teams in the league and really need an injection of top talent, which overwhelmingly comes from the very top of the draft.

Was it just me, or was this game full of bad decisions, hesitations and not a max effort out of the Caps?  They were lucky to get a point. I feel bad for Carbury.  He is in a position that he thinks he has to put Ovi in the shootout after the first three.  Should have been Lappy, or heck if you want to go with the old guard, Dylan would have been a better choice - especially on game 1,000.

Yes. But historically he’s not that great on the shootout. He had a few good years about 2006-2009.

Ovi needs to just waive Carbs off in those situations. It just isn't happening. We'd of probably still lost but that SO miss every fucking time takes years off life.   


Oh well, got a point when most would of figured impossible.. They just won't let us forget they aren't that good..
