GDT #73 Caps vs Bruins @ 7pm

Last 20 games, need 11-8-1 to have a chance. Currently 6-4-1 L2

I'm wondering if it's going to take that much, Mick.  The Metropolitan Division has really regressed this season - the Caps are now just barely at the head of the pack of Caps/Philly/NJ/NYI/Pens, and NONE of them are anything to write home about.  Detroit is the only other Conference team in this mix, and they're struggling too, right now.  I don't know if ANY of these teams is going to get to 90 points, the way they're playing.  The problem for the Caps is, a couple of these teams could right the ship at the end and they could easily slide out of the playoffs.  But to slide down to a really advantageous draft position they'd ALL have to get hot, and that isn't going to happen.
We either sneak into the playoffs or, equally as likely, end up in, like 14th-from-the-bottom place.

Yeah, those #'s would get us to 92 points. Think it took 91 last year? Might not need that many.. I guess it's good that no fringe teams in the east want to take control. I've already lost hope on a good draft spot. Playoffs or bust now!

The Caps would need at least 15 more loses on the season than they have to be in the draft lottery. They would have needed to start tanking about Christmas time.

Late chiming in but...Dafook?  Ovi in the SO again?  Why.
Didn't Carbs NOT put him out last SO and we WON the SO?
I honestly thought he'd throw Carlson out there for game 1000 before Ovi.
I'd rather see McMike and Lappy both before Ovi.  McMike is great on a breakaway, but seems not as good in the SO, but I'll take him before Ovi every time.
And why not Milano, that dude got some stick skills.  Hell give Sgarbossa a shot...WTF you got to lose?

A point is better than expected vs Boston, but damn we should have had that in OT

Milano went 3rd iirc. Oshie miss, Strome hit, Milano hit, Ovi miss, McMike miss. But there's many guys I'd put out before Ovi in a SO. Lapi, Paci, Miro, Carly. Probably every forward tbh.. Im sure it'd been great if he got it, but he just never does. And they don't "count" toward the "count" so, I don't really see any purpose in it, other than trying to be nostalgic or something. Carlson earned the chance to go 4th though, imo. Is what it is, probably not gonna change. And yes, the game was lost with 4 minutes of OT PP and nothing came close.
