Nascar news! (hold your nose Rich, it's not that bad)   

Fn' HMS just outclasses the field on pit stops and changes to the car. Bell had the pole (#1 PIT Box) and won the race off pit road exactly -once-, all day.    Larson went from 4th to 1st on the "money stop" and won the race. Larson gained spots every stop, while Bell and Hamlin lost or maintained. Then they -really- fixed Denny's car on the last stop. Had ran no worse than 5th or 6th most of the day. Came in 5th, went out 7th, finished 10th.    Bell almost ran Larson down on the last run but came up a lap short. Truex ran like shit after the 1st run, then got it together for the last run to finish 9th. Looks like it'll be a 3 way battle between Hamlin, Truex and Bell for the cut off spot to make the final 4. (I think all 3 of em' are within like 2-3 points of each other)


Homestead next week, then Martinsville. Then they crown a champion in Phoenix. 3 more weeks on Nascar..

I thought nascrap was making moves to reduce cost to the teams? Three weeks in a row, no time off, they go from Charlotte to Vegas(2200 miles) back to the team shops in Charlotte(2200 miles), then to Homestead(800 miles) and back(800 miles). They get a break with Martinsville(135 miles), then go back to Phoenix(2050 miles one way). That’s about 10,000 miles of travel in four weeks.

If memory serves, IR means a player must miss 10 days, LTIR means a player must miss 10 games. It can also be retroactively applied to the first missed game from said injury.

I don't like Kuzy with Oshie line.  Oshie too slow for Kuzy.
I'd rather keep Willy with Kuzy and give them a scorer..maybe Milano and make them L1- they'd be hard to keep up with.
I know they trying to balance the lines (and get Ovie going), but I think you just handcuffing Kuzy here.
Of course it is early in the year and a new coach so maybe they just experiment to get things going.

What's wrong with Carly - he wear himself out getting caught up ice out of position too many times?  Or did he actually get dinged?

Yea, we got 3 slow, old fart, star forwards. Gotta put them somewhere. Just not on the same line! But then, instead of hobbling 1 line, they may hobble 3.

Dowd had “core surgery” over the summer. I’ve not seen it explained anywhere, but apparently he still needs some recovery time.
