That's sick for TBL.   McDonagh on your second pairing or paired with Hedman late in close games - with Vasilevsky in goal - good luck scoring against them.  They also got JT Miller, which adds more speed to a blazing fast lineup.  The only good news is that maybe, just maybe, they can send the F'n Penguins home in the ECF and not give them a shot at three-peating.

More than likely, you're correct.  So, what happened with the late, great, gang Green? Nobody wanted to rent him for a playoff run??  Thought he was the most sought after 4th scoring forward on the moving block?

There was zero logic in him realistically after Karlsson, particularly after the disasterous off season he had a who he was going up against.


A better GM would of driven up the price of Karlsson, and snuck a desk for Green in while everyone was looking at Karlsson,. . .


Or tried held out to get the second playay on your list st, for three picks you don’t need, or get three picks and hold on to a D that can help with a playoff push


Or sneak a deal for the ot D to help your first place team in while everyone watches Karlsson.




If not, just say “we like where we are, didn’t see a good deal”. . .

It was our Smiffy who took him out, sadly. No sense of propriety from the kids these days, huh?  I think we could get him cheap....  Best board player in the league.  Still.

Hell, if they really wanted to make a playoff run -and- save some money, they could of moved a couple of our 3rd line guys (Eller, Connolly, Burt) for draft picks and cap cuts and brought back Chimer, Fehr AND Ward for peanuts.. Could of probably even sold it to the fans as the "3 amigos" or something and had some fun with it.. One last shot before the rebuild begins..

It wouldn't of helped this year, but maybe once they get a coach who isn't afraid of youth they could of had some picks and cap room to make improvements in the offseason. They could of at least had some fun in the post season with the old crew. I doubt it would of made any significant difference in how far they get though. Looks like a 1st round exit to me, either way.

Well, we missed out again, yeah like GMBetaMale and Dickless would get a guy who can get an elite  fighter and top D player for fourth round pick.  Even if he now has concussion issues, he’s an upgrade to all our Dman and only cost a 4th if he goes out.

It’s very likely we don’t (iow can not), make any deals before or at the deadline.  The mess of cap space, contract value, originizational depth, draft position, number of draft picks, BetaMales ability, and organizational philosophy put us at a disadvantage in almost any trade scenario.
