LMFAO DC!🤣😂 Good one!

Didn’t see the post until just now. Must’ve missed it!
You’re one wacky MoFo, my brother!
Ya know...The kind of fella I like to throw a few, (or 8 or 9), Hopslams back with!!😂🤣
And you can’t leave out a nice, mild, Ashton VSG, in the other hand!!

Great idea AJ!!
Will have to get some kind of Washington Capitals/Hopslam get together!
We will make it so that even if you don’t drink, you can still have fun!

The only thing is we have to wait till after January, because it’s not put on the market till then!
 TO BE CONTINUED…… 👍👍

Exactly, AJ!!
And it was with you in mind, that I happily added that line into the post!

FYI, not just to AJ, but for the entire board, really, I’m doing this post. Check it out!

Just talked with DC this afternoon about possible plans for a, LONG OVERDUE, get together, for any members who are cool with it!

I’m relatively new, compared to our board veterans, however, I’ve either met in person, or talked more privately, and personal, via phone or email, to more than a few of our members here.

My experiences here, so far, allow me to proudly report, that NO member I’ve met is a WEIRDO, or certified WACKALOON!! LOL!😂🤣😂......(Ok, well, my good buddy, DC, is a ROCKIN, CRAZY, MoFo), but nevertheless!! 🤣😂🤣

This forum, being my FIRST, and ONLY, board that I’ve ever been a part of, AND, coupled with my old school, generally cynical attitude, I am a poster boy for paranoia, concerning ANYTHING, from the social media world!! Don’t trust it, never will!  Just ask AJ, DC, or Alta!
Especially having to consider MEETING someone from the board!!

Well... after about 6 mos of slowly, and carefully posting, from when I first looked at the board, I responded to a light invite from DC, and Lady, (has to be a couple years now), to come to Baltimore for a quick visit! (They actually meant a “visit”, to a frickin tequila bar)!!....

OK..., THATS IT!!...shows over, done deal!!

DC and I got hammered, HEAVY, not to mention, Lady, was very cool, helping to manage our progressively pickled asses, keeping things together, and by the time it was over, VOILA, I inherited two new friends!!!  Not a bad night at all!! DC and I get together all the time, now!👍

I’ve had the privilege to meet several members!
ALTA, for example, we met at the Becks lounge, at a Caps game, shared a few brews, then went on to meet up for the rest of the season, sharing MORE brews, food, some good laughs, amen generally just shooting the shit about life, hockey, etc! He even introduced me to his Dad! Although I don’t know him deeply, I do know that he cares a lot about the things that are close to him. (His Dad, his dogs, and such)! He’s a damn good man!

Also got to meet “Beags”, (Beaglefan), for a short, but sweet, meeting, at the entrance portal for my Caps seats, a little while back!

A VERY nice GENTLEMAN, is Beags, whom although we didn’t have much time, our chat was quick and efficient, allowing both of us to maximize our time spent, on the natural curiosity that would exist, in such an unusual moment!! Let me add, also, I’m willing to bet, a kind, and warm, person, both as a father, AND as a son! Here’s my logic as to why:

Any dad, who, I know for a fact, like me, is not a Carlson fan, YET,  brings his daughter with him to the game, and she, WITH A #74, CARLSON JERSEY ON!!
He introduces ME to her, (knowing that I’m about as big of a Carlson fan as he is, in advance), and DEFENDS her decision to wear it!! Now that’s a DAD, that LOVES his daughter!!👍👍 😂🤣

I also added the “warm son” comment, because, well, you would just have to have read one of Beag’s older posts, about his mom taking him to the Blues hockey games, when he was a kid!! A heart warming little story, and damn near a tear jerker, to say the least!

And I certainly can’t leave out mentioning AJ. Our board founder and leader!
Believe it, or not, I have never yet, met the man, but I have talked to him, many times, on the phone!
A very straightforward talker, who I feel I’ve come to know fairly well, to the extent that a phone will allow.
You want to talk about a guy with some HEAVY knowledge! Covering a very wide range of things, as well!! The word “Britannica”, comes to mind. He’s been to A LOT of places, and seen ALOT of things, I’ll just say that!!

We’ve talked hockey, easy life stuff, and DEEP life stuff, amongst many other things!
When we talk, we usually talk in excess of 45 minutes per conversation!  Several of them much longer than that, and I’m not the kind of guy to banter on with bullshitters, as I don’t suffer fools very well!😂

I find that AJ and I agree on many more things than not.  Regardless, he’s a patient, easy, person to talk to, who says a lot, but also listens a lot. Another, caring, good person!

Why am I posting all this??
Because, I’ve basically allowed all of my 60 years of life’s experiences, to shape me into a quite distrusting person!
Don’t get me wrong, I’m a generally happy person, who just happens to be in possession of a distrusting nature, nowadays!  In fact, I don’t know many people who aren’t this way!  And besides, who could blame us, right?  I’ll go as far to say it’s probably the responsible way to be, in these times!!

That doesn’t mean I like the characteristic of being distrusting,  but it also means I have an open heart that searches for the sincerely good things in the world.
Being those things seem to be getting fewer and far between, I permit myself to take little risks from time to time.

One of them, being my point for this entire post!!!

I took a little risk, letting my guard down slightly, and meeting a few new folks.
It worked out, and I’m damn glad it did!!!👍👍 I feel I’m a better person for it, and you can’t beat that!!

So when DC and I have some more details about a Caps/Hopslam get together,  most likely in January, early next year, and we post it on the board, or message, or WHATEVER?, it’s my hope that some of you all will consider what I’ve shared here, and consider coming out IF your cool with it!!

Mick, I know it’s reverse vacay logic to leave Florida’s warmth, for a cold climate up here, but DC says your cool, and hell, I know I’d enjoy putting down some bourbon with ya!!

You too, Rich!  DC has already met you, and speaks well of you!  Plus I believe we live near each other, and I know we think a lot alike, at least on this board!!  What more do a couple of old schoolers need for an excuse, to drink a few Hopslams, along with some good hockey talk!! Ya damn right!!

And anybody else that I’ve had the pleasure to post with here, as far as I’m concerned, is welcome!
A lot of interesting folks on the board, here, whether I’ve mentioned them by name or not!

OK people, I’ve spoken my mind, and there will be details to follow in the near future!👍👍

A woman in a hot air balloon realizes she is lost. She lowers her altitude and spots a man fishing from a boat below. She shouts to him, "Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would meet him an hour ago, but I don't know where I am." The man consults his portable GPS and replies, "You're in a hot air balloon, about 40 feet above a ground elevation of 2,400 feet above sea level. You are at 31 degrees, 14.97 minutes north latitude and 100 degrees, 49.09 minutes west longitude. She rolls her eyes and says, "You must be a Republican!" "I am," replies the man. "How did you know?" "Well," answers the balloonist, "everything you tell me is technically correct, but I have no idea what to do with your information, and I'm still lost. Frankly, you're not much help to me." The man smiles and responds, "You must be a Democrat." "I am, replies the balloonist. "How did you know?" "Well," says the man, "You don't know where you are or where you're going. You've risen to where you are due to a large quantity of hot air. You made a promise that you have no idea how to keep, and now you expect me to solve your problem. You're in exactly the same position you were in before we met, but, somehow, now it's my fault.”

I'm damn sure up for it.  I got to meet some of the gang at a Caps practice at Kettler one Saturday way back when Lil crossed the pond, but never could manage the schedule for the games where some of Yuns met.....or for the night time festivities (okay DC...morning...midday...afternoon....evening.....night....late night....early morning....late morning next day.....etc  get together's and drink fests.)

I'm pretty much same attitude as RUSH...NEVER EVER been on a message board before, and TOTALLY out of character for me to go meet these loons folks, and I have regretted not making one of the other games/ events ever since that time.

I'm sure I can't hang with some of the drinkers here, but I would like to meet those folks I haven't yet, and I can fall down well enough....might just need a hand to prop me back up.

Let me know when it is and Let's make it happen.

Re: The Calm Before the Storm - Weird games in the FISA Abuse report
« Reply #430 on: Tuesday December 10, 2019, 08:34:08 PM Eastern »
So I'm reading through the FISA abuse report by IG Horowitz the past two days. It is full of very incriminating evidence against the FBI. I did a search on "Comey" to find the references to former FBI Director James Comey. There was not a single return on my search. I then looked closely at the place I read his name and it was visually spelled Comey, but the underlying text was Corney (C-O-R-N-E-Y).  I searched the entire document and found around 200 times his name was misspelled. This is the document I downloaded directly from the DOJ website just after it was released yesterday.  That is really weird. His name is found in charts and text all over the document. Since I assume there was more than one hand involved in writing that document I find it difficult to believe this was an accident. I wondered if maybe the document was scanned and the OCR misspelled it, but there are too many graphics and charts for it to have been OCR'd.  I also searched other words that contained the same "me" letters, such as 'department', 'documentary', 'government' and others and these were correctly spelled.

Now if you select the letters very slowly in the name Comey it appears to select five letters, not 6 letters as in Corney, but if you copy the text into your clipboard and paste it elsewhere it is clearly 6 letters and pastes as C-o-r-n-e-y.

Furthermore, when you compare the "me" in Comey when zoomed it closely with the word "former" the "m" is clearly a different "m" character.  If this was an OCR scan and the original image is displayed with separate OCR text, as is quite common, then there would not be any reason at all or even a reasonable possibility to display different "m" characters unless the characters were intentionally different to begin with.

Someone is playing a game.

Weird shit!

ETA
This may not make sense to those of you not familiar with how OCR (optical character recognition) works. If you understand how it works as I do, then this is crazy.  Way back in the day (`80s) I helped design a process to convert all the World Bank's documents to digital.  AFAIC there is no logical way for the entirety of what I see in this document to be produced by accident.
Be careful what you ask for America; you just might get it.

Hey Rich!
Shortly after January 1, 2020, we will make an announcement about a “board get together”!
Plans are actually in the making, although nothing definitive.  Some of the early thoughts are about location, and trying to make it fairly central, for those who would like to attend!

Believe it or not, I’m probably not the big drinker,  that’s some of my posts may appear to have made me out to be!  I’ll try to describe it, with a few small details concerning myself.

Firstly, it’s kind of funny, but up until DC came to visit my home, last year, to check out my recording studio, and play some music,  I never had any alcohol in my home, prior to this! LOL!  Funny, but completely true!

Let me say right here, also,  that these next paragraphs are simply an attempt to share my drinking experiences, of which many have been with my good friend, DC, and in no way do I hold him responsible  for my slight increase in drinking over the last year or two!!

On the contrary, DC is a true gentleman, and has always brought with him, either some good quality beer, or a fifth of Jack, or some other specialty booze that I’ve never tried, every time he comes to visit! And in very good quantity, so much so, that we never finish, LOL!

I now have in the basement, studio area, a couple of half full bottles of bourbon whiskey,  A small fridge containing a few Michelob ultra‘s and some Sam Adams Oktoberfest.
They haven’t been touched since the last time he was here, (about a month ago),  and it will stay that way until the next time he comes back!

Now, admittedly, when DC and I get together, mainly when I’m up his way in Maryland, I will do a pretty good job of drinking!  I’ve planned for it, taking care of my family responsibilities before leaving, (very important),  received my wife’s blessing to have a good time,  and then I DO!

This happens about once every 90 days, at the most!  And each time I’ve done it, I’ve shared my experience here on the board one way or another!  I always have a great time up there in Baltimore with DC!!😁😁

At home, especially if playing music or recording, DC will run circles around me, drinking,  as I may have one or two beers, basically because I can’t play drums and bass, if I’m drunk!
DC, ALWAYS, shows my household respect, and never gets ripped to the point that I would have a problem with it. (One of the big reasons he is one, of a very few of my friends, that is always welcome in my home)!

Other than these instances I mention, I very rarely drink!

When I had my season tickets to the caps games, I knew I had to drive home.  I would have a couple shots of tequila, followed with three or four beers usually. This would be over a period from about pre-game, 4PM, until 9:30-10pm,  when the game was over.
I certainly felt good driving home, but was in no way even close to being legally drunk. (The actual math is approx. 5-7 drinks, over a 6 hour period, and I’m about 220 lbs)!

For the record, I actually have a personal alcohol breathalyzer, that I bought at CVS pharmacy, about 2 years ago, for curiosity, and for the very purpose, before I get into a car, to check myself for those few times that I get out and have chosen to drink!

Happy to report that I am actually a lightweight, at least buy a few of my friends standards!
I am almost always somewhere in the range of either .02, or .03 BAC. when I test myself, and have never had a DUI, or a drunk in public in my life!
This is honestly the point where I personally feel I am borderline, but OK, to drive!

On one occasion, about 18 months ago,  I got into my car, put the key in the ignition, grabbed the steering wheel, and actually said to myself, “there is NO WAY, that I feel like I can drive“!

I was in a parking garage, did not start the car, pulled out my personal breathalyzer, and curiously checked to see where I was at, on the BAC scale!
I blew a .05!  It was also the time that I felt the most drunk I had ever been in my life! LOL😆

I made the mistake of telling a few of my golfing buddies this story, of my .05,  and how inebriated I felt!  So much so that I put back my car seat, looked at the clock, it was about 2:30 AM, and drifted off to sleep in my car!

When I woke up it was 7 AM!  The sun was up, and despite a small hangover I started my car and drove home!
My golfing buddies, who are “more valiant” drinkers, than myself,  still tease me to this day, and joke about my “light weight“ status!

This is where I am today, as far as drinking goes!  I don’t drink very often at all, but when I do, I allow myself to enjoy it!

I do want to emphasize, that the idea of this get together for the board, does not center around  A “drink until we drop“ theme, at all! Personally it’s not something that I would want to be a part of, if that were the case.

The main purpose, will be for those folks on the board, AND ONLY THOSE WHO ARE COMFORTABLE WITH IT, to share some common Washington Capitals camaraderie, also be able to put a face with some of those we’ve been posting with,  meet and greet each other, or for some of you veterans, to see each other again, and God forbid, shoot the shit and enjoy ourselves responsibly!!

 So there you go folks!
And Rich, I look forward to seeing you there,  and I hope I didn’t disappoint, with my lengthy post again!!😁😁😂🤣

The board can look for an announcement, as was mentioned, in early January 2020!

 Until then, let’s go caps!

Rush

Thank you sir!  You and your fam are perfect hosts and you’re an elite drinkin buddy!!

Not to mention the best damn musician I’d ever (tried to)play with!

Ill start doin a look out for a location possibles for our get together 😈

Re: The Calm Before the Storm - Weird games in the FISA Abuse report

I saw this today.  Clearly someone fucked with the IG FISA report in a very bizarre fashion.

Knowledge is knowing that the Tomato is a fruit; Wisdom is knowing that you shouldn't include it in a Fruit Salad; Philosophy is wondering if a Bloody Mary counts as smoothie

"Oh bother" said Poo, as he chambered another round

Was that an AirSoft AK-47?  That barrel bore looked more like an AR15 size of 5.56mm than it did 7.62mm. Isn't that about Airsoft size?
It also appeared to be a hexagonal bore, which I've never seen on an AK-47

It's not a real one, closest to AK74u, a short version of AK74 for police forces. I have seen many of them in 90s.

I might say it's possible except THERE IS NO WORD "CORNEY" in the dictionary.
