Since today is the 6th of June, and lest people forget why a spoiled rich athlete taking a knee is offensive.....

"it is well war is so terible, otherwise we would grow too fond of it"

I remember listening to an interview with a guy that was basically Regans personal assistant/secretary after Regans death. He related a story to undermine the kind of man Regan was. They had a photo op one hot summer in the Rose Garden, after as everyone was relaxing in the Oval Office, the guy told Regan to take his coat off to cool down as he was obviously very hot. Regan refused, said something to the effect he had more respect for the office than to take his suit off while in it.

Do you think guys the whole spectrum (dems and reps) moved left a lot? Especially dems? Nine years ago I felt i'm somewhere in the center. Now all California libs blow all my imagination. I would never vote for Trump, but here we go.

To put it mildly.

The Dems made the castrophic failure of going to identity politics, in part to coral the Bernie Sanders idiots.  This caused a rift in the party and gave the “riff raff” so speak a louder voice while alienating those who knew it was a stupid idea and could not directly profit for it finally.

This drove them and those in the middle to the right, who where smart enough to disregard the tea-party and excessive Christian overtones that drove people away.

The thing is , the people the left are pandering to now are in general not intellectually or economically viable to run for office or logically vote, in the US, and perhaps even more so Canada or Europe

The whole spectrum had slowly been moving to the left, both republicans and dems. As an example JFK would've been kicked out of the DNC by the '80 election because of his tax cuts and pro military stance, among other things. But in the last 10 years the left has made a quantum jump to socialism. About half the RNC is in its normal two steps behind the dems, the other half of the RNC is still closer to Reagan. That's why there is strife in the RNC right now. At this point the DNC is full socialist, which is what Obama ment when he said he was going to fundamentally transform the country, and the socialist DNC run press went right along with him.

This is also why there are people in the RNC that are trying just as hard as the DNC in this coup attempt against Trump. Trump is no conservative, but he's far closer to being one than most in the RNC right now. Hes the only one since Reagan that will truly clean the swamp, it would be happening quicker if there weren't so many in the RNC fighting him. Another part of the problem with Trump is he is not a politician, and does not play the politics game on the hill. But him not being a politician, and his pull no punches style are what got him elected. Trump is exactly what the founding fathers intended. Meaning he has already made a name for himself, which includes being financially secure, before running for a public office. Unlike what happens far too often these days where someone gets elected to office while barley making ends meet to being a multimillionaire by their second term in office while making less than $150K a year.

For those of us that have been paying attention this is nothing new, and the more these leftists act like this the more exposure their hatred gets. I can't wait to see how they act when their blue tsunami turns into a trickle.

So far we consecutive quarters of +%4 growth. That is what makes my paychecks better, and what the vast majority of Americans care about. Obama couldn't do %2.5 growth, and in his ineptitude told us it was impossible to ever do so again. So yea, I guess that makes me a trump supporter
