Well the Secret Service, Homeland Security, CIA, FBI, INS, NCIS, FCC etc certainly isn’t going to kick his door in and artest him for treason.  So yes, it his choice to go or not.


But his the choice he’s making that we are unhappy about. While we do have gaurenteed freedoms, freedom from repercussions and criticism is not one of them.


Much like the “kneeling” in The NFL, this is simply not the time or place to make a statement, particularly when that may draw the entire spotlight on it.


I doubt many Canadians would be equally unhappy  if a US player didn’t go meet Trudeau on the basis of Bill C16, his open boarder policy, the ludicrous Carbon Tax, or his disastrous trip to India amoung other things.

I would have voted for him.  It's only four years and possibly less depending on the temperature of Congress.  Both parties need to see what real socialism is.  The Democratic party claims to be socialist but they are more of an oligarchy.  He would have been opposed by both parties in total.

I'll look at articles from 8 or 9 different news sources, verify with fact checking, it's a whole process that I was doing long before you decided to even use the internet. Because even back in 2004 me and most people I knew realized "oh we totally can't trust the news media because they are just looking for coverage, not truth." You guys are under this explicit impression that it's just this "extreme" aspect of the right that discovered "fake news." Like it wasn't even a concept before you saw it.

I dislike fake reality TV show hosts. That doesn't mean I think they should die, get cancelled or shut down. It's well within my rights as a consumer to go "I think X show is dumb." Which is entirely what Trump was before becoming President. A corporate, TV reality star. He was a business man as well, but much of all of his work was about branding. Just like a lot of reailty TV stars. Kardashian has her own clothing line, as does Snooki. You live in one of the most, if not the most socially divided modern country on the planet. Yes I'm aware other countries face similar issues, but the magnification of it in your Country, on lots of fronts, not even just the ones "SJW" identify with, there are tons you would also identify with. Immigration, culture, guns, the list goes on.


That division is being peddled like propaganda from every source. You acknowledge it coming from the biased liberal media, but not your own sources. Propaganda is propaganda, plain and simple. That does not mean there isn't truth to be found inside of some of it. There often always is.


But responding to any differing opinion as "obviously a bleeding heart liberal" is the same type of alienating generalizing that the assholes on the left do in regards to plenty of things.
