Just got home an hour ago. I am DEAD tired. When I recover a bit I'll try to post some photos and videos. We got up at 5am, left by 6am, got there in front of the stage by 7am and got pretty good spots in front of the stage. Let's just say that more than 95% of the sea of red was behind us. They had great tunes and the fans as usual were classy fans and all in great spirits.
There was one girl with a sign about her 25th birthday that want to kick in the teeth. Oblivious that there were a half million people behind her kept holding that tall sign high above her head begging for autographs. She totally blocked my chances at clear photos with move . A lot of people were cursing her with me being loudest. I thought she would have stopped and when she got tired she had her friend hold it high. nothing I can't stand than oblivious people that have no consideration for others. Well, maybe expect for politicians that try to ride the Caps wave, like DC Mayor Muriel Bowser. When they announced her name I instantly screamed out the most powerful "Booooooo" I could muster and everyone followed my lead. It was awesome!
Caps were still on the Thursday night Bender. Watching the Caps on stage as they got recognized individually I loved the raw display of Craziness and the non-stop Alcoholic bender.
I sore and sick, but we had a blast. It was a staggering even. I believe that the fact that the Caps had such a tremendous response to winning cup, especially today, that it will sure add more motivation for the team next year. The estimated I keep hearing is more than 600,000 people attended today. It sure looked like it.
I need to recover before I can offload and convert some images to share.

I wanted to edit this pathetic post. It reads like some drunk wrote it, but I do not drink. I was just THAT wiped out after getting home from the parade. The event was awesome. So glad I managed to go.
