As I've said in past years, during the playoffs if a player intentionally takes out an opponent and gets a game misconduct that player should be out of the series as long as the person they injured with NO replacement for his position. Yes, I said NO replacement, so the offending team plays with one man less until the injured player is able to play. Would need a neutral doctor to judge this, but I think it would reduce these dirty damned players taking out opponents. We've seen way too much evil antics on the ice that had tremendous impacts on a series with little punishment to the offending teams.
