Only one can start this: Jack Daniels Sinatra Century
To celebrate the great Chairman of The Boards 100th birthday in 2015, Jack Daniels made its most limed batch ever, just 100 barrels, and no more will ever be made. Only 24 bottles came to Maryland, and we have two of em! Lady even got the first one engraved for me (she rules!)!
Simply the greatest (non human female) thing I’ve ever tested, and bar none my favorite
Anyone who comes to our place, gets a sip of it, and has to sign the book that comes inside it. Several on here have, and many more of you need to. . .

Holding off on this because: The First Rule of Hopslam: Dont talk about Hopslam
This annual limited run from the great people at @BellsBrewery is one of the most sought after beers in the country, with most places limiting how many you can get per day.
I’ve been lucky this year, found two places that had it to buy, and one that didn’t limit how many (
which put us at over 10 6packs and the below mini-kegs. ;D
Now I am NOT a hoppy-beer/IPA guy at all, but this is different. Not only do they use high end high dollar hops, but use (equally high end) honey to cut it the “dirt” taste out and leaving the natural flavor.
This IPA disliker, has turned several otheres (including Rush) onto this, so it is absolutely encouraged and endorsed. . . just don’t threaten my supply

Weeeellllllll. As I understand it,not completely legal. As in your corner shop can’t order them. I’m also not sure about what customs would do if it’s more than just a case or so.

The great people at Founders had two of thier classics on tap last trip, the first being one of my all time favs:DOOM!!
it is technically an Imperial IPA, though you can’t really tell, but is whiskey barrell aged, to highly tastey/gimmie more at over 12%, certainly not for the weak . . .

Grand Vintage Malt 1989 (https://www.glenmorangie.com/en-us/news/grand-vintage-1989)
An inspired assemblage (https://www.glenmorangie.com/en-us/news/grand-vintage-1989)
For more than a century, Glenmorangie’s pure spirit was distilled within the familiar walls of our former still house. But at the end of the 1980s, desire for our fine Highland single malt whisky soared ever higher. And all at the Distillery knew that the tenure of this venerable, yet diminutive building must soon draw to a close...By 1990, Warehouse No.1, the largest of Glenmorangie’s 19th century Bonded warehouses, had been transformed into a majestic new still house, extensive enough to house further stills. We celebrate its heritage in our Vintage Collection Bond House No. 1 – a series of rare vintage expressions, marked for greatness from their origin years. Each expression in the collection is captured in its prime by our skilful whisky creators, and deemed ready to share, only at their behest.
As I do with all announcements of new rare and/or high end Glennmorangie, I will revert to my inner 6 year old:
GIMMIE!! GIMMIE!! GIMMIE!! GIMMIE!! GIMMIE!! GIMMIE!! GIMMIE!! GIMMIE!!
NOW! NOW! NOW! NOW!
I just texted my dealer (technically bar manager/mixologist), to get a quote and to order . . .You guys will have to get up here to try it!

Barrel Aged Marzen (Sam Adams Octoberfest) . . .
This goes above and beyond beer. “Perfect” is an understatement

The single greatest Xmas beer you will find. .
Well worth buy the SA Winter 12 Pack just go the two included
I could only bring 3 of the big bottles back from the brewery.
They had it on tap at the brewery and Lady had to drag me out of there like pouting kid after several hours.
This is in my top 5, maybe top 3 beers ever , the great heavy malted spiced winter ale Old Fezziwig (Frank and Bing would love it)

This here is called a Bait Bucket that you can find at Sharkeys in Venice FLA
It’s a Slurpee (aka Frozen Margarita from a Slurpee machine, made with Blue Carosau, Triple Sec, and a SHIT LOAD of tequila!
So much in fact they can legally only serve you two per stay (if your crafty you can get around that). Needsles to say it’s my favorite margarita ever.
Lady likes to laugh at me for liking a “blue foo-foo drink”, but I say “it ain’t a drink, it’s a blue raspberry Slurpee made with pure alcohol, and there ain’t nothin foo-foo about that!”

Day 3: Ft Myers
1. Ft Myers Brewing Co. 10/5
Lady left me at my favorite FLA brewery while she went shopping. So I get to enjoy o e got my top 5 favorite beers: Cypress Strong. An elite uber-malty Oktoberfest Marzen, where each one makes you want two more! The 9% makes it badass, but i almost wish they had an NA version so I can drink more of it. Yes, it’s that fuckin great

Forgot to put this up, but at the first of the moth we flew up to The D, and went with our buddy and friends to The Bells Brewry in Kalamazoo on their annual Hopslam trip.
See they only allow you to buy a certain amount of cases (8) at a time, so they each buy their 8, go into the taproom and drink Hopslam for a few hours, then change clothes and go buy anthor 8 each, (bein as I was flyin, and they’d be gone if I left em, I only got two cases).
One of em had a cool hat I needed to put on this pic of one of the vehicles 😁

However, every time I see him I feel like a wiss for not saying “fuck various injuries”, and get back to lifting (and smoking a cigar after the work out 🤣)
BTW, this is a “fun”(😡) cut/bulk post power cycle work out of his to do for a couple weeks (https://www.t-nation.com/training/reg-parks-5x5-program)

My all time favorite beer, barrel aged fron the whiskey they make using the mash fron the batches of the beer. I don’t care if 99% of the state of Oregon had gone crazy, if drinking this doesn’t make you wanna party, fuck, and fight all night, OR wake up in a hospital, like I did woke up in INOVa Alexandria (I’ll tell that story later), then you might as well turn around on The Bee Gees and go watch a Penguins game!!
I saw this label whrb me and my buddy raided the Shoppers of 234 in Manassas a day or so after my 21st, (that SFW had an AWESOME beer section back then), I grabbed it, tried it first of tuhe stash we got, and it’s been my #1 Favorits beer ever since!
Heh, change the hat to a Stessson and that label is damn near DC_1908 ain’t it?
-
DC, have you gotten a bottle of American Honey yet? It's some good shit. Much better than the Jack version. The only thing I could think of to mix it with is ice, but it's perfect that way

I don’t drink like I used to, but this, along with regular Johnnie Walker Black, puts me in a good mood.

Damn Doublr Black!! I haven’t tried it, but that has to be damn good!!
-
Thanks, I am not much for single malts but this and the regular black have been two favorites. I think the double has a bit more of a smoky flavor. Chivas Regal is another favorite. I always drink on the rocks, nothing else added. But I do really like to sip Jack Daniels on the rocks also. Unfortunately or maybe fortunately, depending on how you see it, I have really slowed up on all whiskey and beer.
