They finally scratched 6?? There is a god!!
And Good Heavenly Father...I was thinking the same thing.
Kempny is a scratch.
I think AJ is just messing with us.
So far Orlov is the one I haven't seen out there 8-0Orlov is playing. You must be drinking some good stuff.
So far Orlov is the one I haven't seen out there 8-0I saw Orlov out there at the end or right after the 1st PP.
caught most of the 1st on the radio, didn’t hear Orlov name til right after I typed that. Heard everyone else mentioned until thenNot hearing his name might be a good thing. Means he hasn't messed up yet.
haven’t seen a player call the fefs off before
We gotta stay out of the Fricken box.
Ya that one was borderline. Oshie even waited for Kuzy to get to the bench before touching the puck. I've seen a lot worse thar weren't called.
That was the weakest too many men call in history.
:nrs:Yup Laughton sold that.
Our faceoffs are even worse then our defense!! :wackysmile:Keep in mind that the Flyers are the best faceoff team in the league.
:O= great defense thereAgreed that was all on Carlson. He was good position and all he did was watch the goal.
:clown: :poop:
How is that a penalty on Dillon? I have absolutely no fucking clue what they called? After the whistle? Boarding? Either way it was not remotely a penalty. Fucking crap. They called it roughing. It was a lame call.
I think Willy is a tad upsetThat whole play was a joke. Wilson goes to hit Girioux and he bails out then Hayes go after Wilson. How does Hayes not get the instigator?

I'm really liking Wilson tonight.
:pppp:
Watched the Bruins/Lightening game last night.I agree. Our team is going in the wrong direction.
We dont stand a chance against either one of those teams.
I agree. Our team is going in the wrong direction.
Flyer fans are louder than Caps fans. More embarrassment. Some fucking hockey town.
almost went tonight too because of ticket availability, glad I didn’t

106.7 has Carlson on every Wednesday about 3-3:30, I'm not overly impressed with his interview skills, that and that asshat that was interviewing him
That was a sweet play getting out of our zone. Holtby to Dillon to Hagelin to Panik to Eller and in the net in about 5 secs.
Lazy ass play by Vrana on the last Flyers goal. 5 on 2 and he’s dawdling back. Embarassing.
Did anyone see with forward blew their assignment on that 3rd goal. All 3 forwards got caught way up ice.
I think Oshie has turned the puck over every time he has touched it.
Tell me again why letting Trotz walk was a good move?It was a risky move, we are not insiders, GM probably was seeing TR as a better option.
If we try just a little bit we could be in a wild card spot by the weekendWith how we are playing it's hard to expect a deep playoff run anyway. If Caps won't make playoffs, there could be positive changes in a long run.

Apparently it is not the case.
These losers have had it. They'll be out in 5 no matter who they face in the first round. Totally pathetic effort. No forecheck, no backcheck, little to no hitting except for late crap on guys without the puck, shit power play, not skating. They get their asses kicked nightly. This has gone on for 3 months. It's not going to stop until changes are made both behind the bench and on the ice. IOW, not this season. They're done.I really think there won’t be any changes behind the bench or in the office, if Ovie doesn’t hit 50 this year or 40 next year.
there are coaches that are much more effective as assistants, and there are coaches that are brought up too soon, I'm thinking Reirdon is a combination of the twoProbably he is a good assistant coach and that's it.
Hagelin looked really good last night, Eller too. Hags has still got some wheels. If he had just a bit more scoring touch he could really make a difference. That line is may the only positive thing lately.
The more I think about last night, the madder I get. I'm glad I didn't buy tickets to that complete lack of effort.
The inherent problem with the Caps management/coaching has always been their unwillingness to bench guys for poor play or lack of effort. There are at least 5 guys that mailed it in last night after the first period.
Honestly, they should call up 5 Hershey Bears and sit out Ovi, Vrana, Backstrom, Jensen and Carlson. I bet the 5 guys that stepped in would give one hell of an effort. Of course they won't embarrass their stars......

Teddys always been content with just “having a chance” at a Cup, with the primary focus being on drawing crowds and excitement.
I dare say the next three years will look like this year combined with 2005-2009 again, with the message being “come watch Ovie” not “win another Cup”
there are coaches that are much more effective as assistants, and there are coaches that are brought up too soon, I'm thinking Reirdon is a combination of the two...
then there are guys like Oates..
Really? Washington has tuned into a popular team. The younger generation there has grown to like hockey. The team will always draw fairly well regardless of what happens after Ovie is done. It's like basketball in Toronto. It's become a staple to the community.
You may be right and that will wear on the fans rather quickly since they've now tasted a Cup. Post Ovie, if this team isn't built to win, they won't draw flies.
Hagelin looked really good last night, Eller too. Hags has still got some wheels. If he had just a bit more scoring touch he could really make a difference.
I do like that EVERY time I watched him last night, Hagelin was hustling back on D. He'd rush up ice and then haul ass back to get in the D play. Maybe it was more noticeable last night because there were SO many PK's for him to play on, but it was during 5 on 5 where you see his hustle 100% of the time in BOTH directions.
Kovie hasn't had much impact. I am a bit surprised I see him hitting more than I expected, but offensively speaking we have not seen much there. Time will tell.
Oh, and Carlson sucked last night. I know Puck is gonna argue that, but....Carlson sucked. :raspberry:
He just does NOT use his size to an advantage. He tried to lift check a guy instead of just muscling him out of the crease. His lift missed and the guy had a tap in. Pathetic. But that was pretty much the whole team last night
Actually I was thinking Holtz was looking pretty sharp and his game has certainly improved. But....you can't let in 5. Not even when you have D like ours.
Oh, and Willie looked like he at least had some fire last night.
We got screwed on penalties and the bounces certainly did not go our way, but we also did not work hard enough to compete with, much less beat Philthy the way they have been on tear as of late.
I'm sure once we get into the playoffs, we will pick it up and be a real contender. The Caps will just "turn it on" and will be that great team we hope they can be. ::) Cause the playoffs is like the Caps' home on the range (where the mermaid and unicorn play...)

Damn right, it’ll take a few seasons to move the big contracts, and/or replace Ovies production with a couple players if they don’t change systems/philosophy.
