IR.. Not sure how many games or days it's been. Seems like he and Oshie have either met or are very close to meeting the requirement to be "available".. Just need to heal up. Think everyone has a "lower body" injury, other then Schultz (upper body), who's back tonight.

Sheary and Oshie were both late scratches for the Kraken game, two days later Oshie was put on IR but the only thing Ive seen about Sheary was a day to day listing

Thought I read he was on IR.. Could be wrong. Hopefully it won't be long either way!

Well to clarify...IR means nothing other than he's hurt, and it caries no restrictions or provides any cap relief...but does free up a roster spot to move another playoer onto the active roster  (Assuming you have the Caps space, as IR players salaries DO count.
LTIR has lots of caveats...which is what Backy, Mantha, and maybe Oshie were on.  For LTIR...they got to miss 10 games, etc, etc..

Alot of times the press (or Mick)    just throw "IR" out there and doesn't really mean anything.

Well, scratch that...

I just looked this up and I was not aware....IR means a player has to miss 7 calendar days....no minimum on however many games that happens to be.  (LTIR means 24 calendar days AND minimum 10 games)

and..

I don't see it listed anywhere that Conor Sheary is on IR.  He shows on the team roster on the Caps website....which means absolutely nothing.

Who the F spells Conor with one N?

Sheary has missed since Seattle...last playing in San Jose.  Missing his 6th game....and on about 12 days so he qualifies for putting on IR (they can retroactively), but not sure what that accomplishes at this point.


What happened to him?  Injury wise
