the pre game show is an hour long tonight to celebrate OV and Backy’s 1000th game together. Pre game starts at 8, game is at 9 on NBCSW

I read some of the preview stuff.


Backy needs three points for 1000 in his career,  Ovie needs 3 goals for 767 career goals to PASS he who shall remain nameless


Be nice if both came in the 1000th game they play together.  But it won't.  I'm a lifelong Caps fan, so I can still have ridiculous hopes of success....knowing they will be crushed when reality sinks in.


Speaking of reality....Calgary is 13-1-1 in their last 15 games and have lost a total of 4 games at home (in regulation) this season.
SO they are DUE for a little ass-whomping...right?

With the Caps win and the Hens and Rags loses last night, the Caps are now six points out of 2nd in the division with 24 games left. It looks like the Canes will win the division unless they completely fall apart.

They have gained 1 point on the Hens in the last ten games and dropped 1 point to the Rags.
