Was worried the Avs were gonna let Vski steal that one. Dude is good. After that dominant OT I was just waitin for a Caps style heart breaker, but they got it done! One away..
edit: And the Lightning/fans are bitching and moaning all over the place, about a non-call on the line change. Must be nice to be 2x reigning champs and bitching about a call in SCF, where you got outplayed and should of lost 3 or 4x before you actually did.. :snicker:

That's a little more like it. Power was out at home due to T-storms and downed trees so I didn't get to watch.
Watched the condensed game this morning....
Someone tell me why the TB goal in the first where the puck hit Kuemper in the mask ALONG WITH TB player Cirelli's stick knocks off Kuempers mask and they don't blow the whistle? I realize it was quick, but the TB player basically high-sticked the goalie in the chin knocking off his mask. That should have been a 2-minute High Sticking penalty no? Or does it not count because he was attempting to play the puck? Still.....I thought they blew the play dead when the goalie's mask comes off?

Per the rule book, the zebras are not required to blow the whistle if a goalie loses his mask during a “scoring play”. Which I thought was the reason the whistle gets blown in the first place, to protect the goalie from serious facial injuries.
I will say it looked like the Bolts got screwed with about 1 minute to go in the 3rd when the Avs boarded a guy in the corner. But other than that, the zebras were pretty fair with non calls to both sides.
