   This why I dislike Niskanen so much. He makes plays like that quite often and for some reason most people here give him a free pass. If Carlson did that, the fans would be asking for the death penalty

Ya know, I’m half curious as why he didn’t go after him and risk a penalty shot


Abby’s a bad ass and all, but the chances of him beating Holts would have to be less on a penalty shot as opposed to a short  breakaway

   I dont know but every game Orlov has to bail out Niskanen. Several times in some games. Last game Nisky got caught on a stupid pinch that he had no chance on and gave up a partial breakaway but Orlov was able to get over and make a great defensive play. Orlov is light years ahead of Niskanen. He is even playing better than him defensively.

Exactly!  We have one of the best goalies in the world.  And why I don’t have the data I’m front of me, him stopping a penalty shot over a quick rush from a nondangler, would certainly  be in our favor

   Ya it was Connolly from the left boards with the shitty pass. Connolly is pretty much a slot player. He sucks everywhere else on the ice. He made a bad pass to no one in our end too.

Yikes!  That's pretty bad getting it half right and half a different division. I was up all night and did that after a rough long day.  Another friend died. His funeral was yesterday. Pancreatic cancer took him from his family far too early.  He was my age.  Like all the others he seemed to be doing well and in remission. It was not in the pancreas, but right up against it, so they could not operate.  I just talked to him two weeks ago and he was positive he was doing well. He was a man with a huge heart of gold.

I don't drink BTW.

On a side note, the reason I got out of a garage and went to work on a company fleet was the public treating me like my only intent was to rip them off.

   I dont know but every game Orlov has to bail out Niskanen. Several times in some games. I'm so glad we have  the perfect defenseman in Carlson, who never needs bailing out.

How did Carlson get in this conversation? Now that he is though he has needed to be bailed out at times but there has been no one there to bail him out. Carlson gets paired with Djoos or Orpik. They dont really bail anyone out.

This team has to learn how to play ALL the time if it wants to succeed in the playoffs.  Coming out like this against Detroit is piss poor.  Giving up 90% of the possession. Not acceptable.

We come out with low energy and lose EVERY 50-50 Puck.  That gets us penned in our end with the long shift. It’s about effort.
