learnt a few things today while fixing the antenna for the kitchen stereo, a bunch of radio stations are not what they used to be, 107.3 has been Jesus music since Christmas(not necessarily a bad thing), and DC101.1 now sucks ass

for about 10 years the only thing I use terrestrial radio for is 105.9 during the week and Nats and Caps games.

when did happy harddick start driving a ford??  8-0

Damn, you have turned it off for a while..  :snicker:  Yep, he's still an asshole.. I don't hate the stage racing but the other unnecessary yellows and wasted laps between stages killed this one. Darlington needs long green flag runs for their to be any good racing, outside of a lap or 2 laps at the restarts.. They really need the reporters on pit road and the announcers in the booth as well. Still, Im lookin forward to Tues and Wed!

I think I recognized about half of the names driving today, the stage racing just ruins it for me

but I was amazed there wasn't a yellow with less than 10 to go, I guess it wasn't worth pulling that horse shit on a half mile track

I like the stages cause they race hard to get those bonus points, but the caution that accompany them is unnecessary.. They should just waive the green/checker on that lap and award the points. But every "stage" yellow stops the race for about 7 laps.. Though, let a yellow fly with 5 or 6 to go before a stage and they'll have pit rd open and be back to green with 1 to go before the stage ends. It's silly.. Is what it is I guess.

They don't have as many of those late race faux "debris" cautions now a days, which is good. But they're still "yellow" happy anytime someone even slows down it seems. (As long as their a "name" anyway)

Oh, Darlington is over a mile, btw.. Late race yellow would of made it more interesting, but a run longer than 35 laps would of done the same.. Place eats tires and needs green flag runs.. Gordon let the cat out of the bag when he said "in his day, you had to save tires and rely on mechanical grip over all this new downforce" Which has also killed most of the side by side racing. Pretty much comes down to track position, pit stops and mistakes. Very hard to pass with all the downforce unless your car is really, REALLY good, compared to the competition.

The only race I've been to was at Darlington. . . .and, yeah, it seemed like at least half the race was run in caution.  The crowd got so pissed off that booed yellow flags like it was a football game . . .

weather looks good for another dance with the lady in black, which has been moved up to 6:00pm

I did check the radar at about 6 and it was clear, apparently it rained like hell just before that, delayed start for track drying, which probably means a 7:30pm start as was originally planed

Saturday NASCRAP had their best ratings in years, helps when they are the only sport to go in three months

That one was a little more "Lady in Black" ish.. Glad they called it. Denny had older tires and Kyle was fittin' to have a flat RF.  :uh-huh:  lol

Can't say that I was disappointed to see the 9 in the fence. Just too bad it was the 18 that got him.. Early in the season to be gettin those bullseyes on your back.

And yea, Coach does give a good invocation!

Xfinity race was vintage Darlington! Least the finish was.. (Any coincidence they run the most horse power and least downforce of the 3 series, this year)

Our local short track advertising fans in the stands next weekend.. It's time!

just watched the anthem and flyover for Charlotte, then had to turn the channel. Not a damn one of them is wearing a mask that would stop anything, then the crew doing elbow bumps instead of high fives when they're all in the same garage for 50 hours a week is just fucking stupid

Damn.. If you missed it.. Xfinity put on another show.

Dumbass drove through the field a couple times. Lost the lead on a restart w/2 to go. Got it back on the last lap.

i noticed at the conclusion of sundays race a bunch of drivers went and talked face to face with each other, no masks that won't stop pollen, and no buffer zone. The cameras were quickly moved elsewhere.

It's time to end this farce and get back to work

They're slowly relaxing that nonsense.. That golf match the other day I saw Tiger and Peyton, etc. all talking w/o masks.. Kyle's interview he didn't wear one. Hopefully sooner then later the country quits listening to the manic media and gets on with life. If the shit gets ya, it gets ya..

Truck race is tonight at 8pm est on FS1.. Only drivers you'll probably recognize are Kyle Busch and Chase Elliott. Harvick put up a bounty for any "cup regular" who could beat Kyle Busch in a truck race. A couple others entered but with the no practicing/qualifying (cost a lot less) they had like 47 entries and only 40 spots so some of the cup guys who didn't have points got clipped from the field.
