Samsonov solid again last evening and now has 12 wins. I thought it was pretty impressive when Copley had 16 wins last year. Samsanov may blow right by that. When your backup goalie might be responsible for up to 40 standings points, THAT is one way to finish high up in the standings.
We are now headed out of, rather than into, the regular season woods, and Samsanov to this point has given us absolutely no reason why we shouldn't refuse to pay Holtby multi-millions and go with him instead. Of course, this would be only a temporary respite. If we go with Samsanov as the new starting goaltender, within the next few years we will likely be paying HIM several million AAV.

What we’ve seen from Samsonov is not a good enough sample size to be confident in letting Holts walk. But given how fucked our salary is, well have little choice.
We can’t assume Samsonov will just step in for Holts and we won’t miss a beat. Like any hot young goalie, there is a very big chance that he will level-off if not fall off all together in his first full season if not the next. It’s like Chuck Barkley said, “There’s no such thing as a sophomore slump, it’s called ‘they have tape on your butt’”
Sammy may well be our future goalie, but we can’t be confident on how good that future will be for a few years

I don’t have a “never” apologize philosophy. Simply said, I’m not perfect. But I also don’t go around apologizing for every little thing that bothers somebody. There’s probably more of that, “I’m a victim“, “” I need you to apologize“, crap in our society, then ever before. Like you said they’re responsible for their own life that is, it’s their problem!👍
As I claim, I stood behind what I’ve said. I do, however, acknowledge that there are people that are a little more sensitive.
My apology was ONLY for just not warning them first. AND, I will add that I don’t think they SHOULD be sensitive! Especially not in today’s world But I can’t change the fact they still exist, thus, I throw a little acknowledgment their way!
And I don’t apologize for that either, BIG DOG!!🤣😂😂
Hell, I wish they’d all man up, I get it!
They probably won’t… And we will both still be here doing our thing!!👍
