- Reirden says might have lineup changes tonight other than Boyd.

- Ovechkin on his hit on Drouin: "It's hockey. It's not a ballet ... I don't know. It's a hockey play. He didn't see me. It's a clear hit. Nothing to say.".

- 78-Lewington and 30-Samsonov sent down to Hershey. Both are waivers exempt.

- Samsonov and Siegenthaler are the only Capitals players too who do not have to be put on waivers to be sent down. Vanecek is exempt from waivers as well.

- Caps have recalled goaltender 41-Vitek Vanecek and forward 72-Travis Boyd.

- Capitals photo taken about 4 hours before game time in Boston. God help us!
