LMAO!
When they were cutting out to commercial and showed that fan babe with the nice tatas one of the announcers said, "Whoa!", probably not realizing he was still on a hot mic.

It's been fun Alta.  Ciao until Thursday nights Caps game.

Good lord that was a marathon.. And yea, the ump's strike zone seemed kind of erratic. I like how whenever it was on the line (in their virtual box) they cut to that simulated 3d view from behind the plate to show you it was the right call (like they do in tennis) but when it was clearly outside the box they didn't bother. Lets see it all FOX, the good and the bad!!  :raspberry:  Boys look like they're having fun. Hope they can finishthefight!!  :uh-huh:

Wow.  I mean WOW.

Way to go Nats...except for the marathon part.  I started watching on delay about 10 and almost caught up when my DVR quit recording at 4 hours.  Missed the last of the 9th.

WOW

I am sure I mentioned earlier, prior to the start of the series, how comfortable and confident I was about the Nats winning this.

Go Nats.

By the way....here's a pic of my wife's (ahem....they are in MY lap) new buddies....MAX and SOTO.  Fresh in from the shelter about three days ago
Max is the black one, Soto is the white one

Cute cats and dog. Your dog looks curious to me. I'm sure the three will be great pals.

Congratulations !!

Ha. That's funny AJ.

Dog is settling in with his new housemates.  Cats made themselves right at home like they been hanging with dogs forever.

Cats were gonna be Max and Doolittle (mostly cause the little white one is SO little.....but I thought SOTO was a better name.

Game 3 starting lineups:
Astros: With no designated-hitter spot available for the three games in D.C., Hinch is debating whether to start DH Yordan Alvarez in the outfield. If he sits Alvarez, Hinch will go with his regular outfield and look to use Alvarez in a key pinch-hitting spot.
1) George Springer, CF

2) José Altuve, 2B

3) Michael Brantley, LF

4) Alex Bregman, 3B

5) Yuli Gurriel, 1B

6) Carlos Correa, SS

7) Josh Reddick, RF
8- Robinson Chirinos, C

9) Zack Greinke, P

Nationals: This Nats' offense erupted for 12 runs on 14 hits and three homers to carry themselves to victory in Game 2. Aside from losing the designated hitter, don’t expect anything to change after a performance like that.
1) Trea Turner, SS

2) Adam Eaton, RF

3) Anthony Rendon, 3B

4) Juan Soto, LF

5) Asdrúbal Cabrera, 2B

6) Ryan Zimmerman, 1B

7) Kurt Suzuki, C

8- Victor Robles, CF

9) Aníbal Sánchez, P

starting pitchers:
Astros: After losing games started by aces Gerrit Cole and Justin Verlander, the Astros will give the ball to veteran right-hander Greinke (0-2, 6.43 ERA in the postseason). Greinke pitched well in Game 1 of the American League Championship Series, against the Yankees, and gave up one run in 4 1/3 innings in Game 4. He faced the Nationals earlier this season, throwing 7 1/3 scoreless innings and allowing two hits at Nationals Park on June 13, when he was with the D-backs.
Nationals: The Nationals are hopeful that the long layoff will not effect Sánchez (1-0, 0.71 ERA in the postseason), because he has been lights out this month. In two starts (12 2/3 innings), he’s given up just one run on five hits, with 14 strikeouts and three walks, but this will be his first start since Game 1 of the National League Championship Series, on Oct.11.

So is anyone here actually GOING to the Nats game?  It is sort of kind of a once in a lifetime opportunity.  (well, we hope not, but.....)
How much are tickets going for?

I see you can still supposedly get tickets for tonight's game
Upper level 401 about $1250 a seat (ouch)
Seats behind Nats Dugout around $1700 (again ouch)

I have a friend who broke down and spent the bucks and went to both games in the NLCS here.  I'd say he got his money's worth.

I read a story about the ticket system being hacked and tickets stolen, which were quickly disabled and were not sold. It said the prices started at $1,000 for "standing room only" seats and went up to $3,000 for seat behind the dugout.

I've been listening to the news, apparently it's been a tad crowded down there since noon, they said both garages at the park were full by 2pm. That wouldn't be bad if metro was worth a shit, but..
