My magic 8 ball says golf is in the near future for the Caps.
I know Carolina is a decent team, but it doesn't bode well for a defending Stanley Cup champion with largely the same roster to go 7 games against a wild card seeded team. Even if we somehow manage to win game 7, our play does not create any confidence that we'll get past the Islanders who are well coached by Trotz.
Stanley Cup repeat is not happening this year guys, take it to the bank. Any games from here on out are just "extra entertainment" above and beyond the regular season.
They are just too bi-polar, almost bi-polar with delusion schizophrenia.
I don’t recall any team going all over the spectrum from dominant, to servcible, to god awful atrocious in such degrees so frequently in such randomness.
Despite home records, line changes, statistical trends, or data analysis, we simply can not know what
end of this spectrum they’ll show up on in Game 7.
Faith in “god and luck”, just ain’t gonna do it.
One thing we can count on though, is Mr Game 7, who we didn’t wanna pay, playing even higher level against his old team than he did last night.
