I have to agree with you. I have been 3 or 4 times over the past few years when the Caps are in town to face them. Very nice arena, knowledgeable fans and they really do have a good atmosphere.

Dan O'Halloran strikes again - part of the crew that called Game 7 VGK - Sharks. Eakin with, at most, a 2 minute crosscheck on Pavelski, who bumps into Stasny and lands awkwardly on his head on the ice and bleeds - so the refs penalizes the outcome and give the Sharks a 5 minute major. Bullshit call, but ....shitty calls happen every series. VGK shat the bed giving up 4 goals on a 5 minute major.

Most beautiful thing is that POS Ryan Reaves is done for the year.

And I don't think any of them were "soft".. Least not in game 7. All 4 PP goals were deflections, screens type of goals and the ender was pretty much a breakaway that got behind the D and just beat him. Crazy! No, it was bananas!!

So which team goes on to win it this year? Definitely a path for just about anyone now. I maybe might have to pull for Columbus. Honestly, other than beating the Caps, I'd be okay with Carolina winning...meh, maybe not.

I watched Babcock's interview after Toronto lost...it was like everyone expected him to be fired for them losing? All NBC talking heads discussing whether he should be brought back. Really? Hey if Toronto doesn't want him back, I know a team in the Metro that could use a good coach.

I always understood these guys got the playoff games based on performance. Performing to do what should be investigated. Much like the MLB, this league has some bad officials that should be forced to retire. OHalloran is one.

I don’t know much about O’Hallorans back ground, but the IRS or the Canuck version of an IRS needs to go through his accounts like colposcopy. Does anyone know what the over/under of the VGK/Sharks series, or just Game 7 was?

I'm sure you have noticed that on this forum we call out only one ref as being a consistently bad ref and that man is Dan O'Halloran. We've been calling him out for many years. I'm happy to see him get the recognition he deserves.

Possible, yet far from guaranteed. NYI is suffering from the Sweep Vs 7 Game w/OT syndrome. It’s very possible for that Hurricane to burn down to a tropical storm and the Isles get their stride back
