Up here in Gaithersburg the cars, grass, and sidewalks are just beginning to be covered, but the roads are still clear, even the back streets. I think the game will go on.

there is no way the game doesn't get played, as noted the snow isn't much yet and the teams are already at the arena. The only only thing this little bit of snow will do is keep some fans at home


just walked the dog, got a little over an inch on the grass and the streets are just now starting to turn white, close enough to Dulles I can hear the planes warming up inside the house which means they are taking off heading west

I have special news to report. I bought my first beer in about 20 years.  I just cracked it for the game.  It's a Guinness Draught Stout.  I just had two small sips and I already have a nice buzz.  This was always one of my favorites. I love the taste.

No celebration. I just thought about a Guinness yesterday and decided to get a four pack. I gave one to my son and he loves it. He said he always thought these were too bitter, but is now a Guinness fan saying he'll have to get these again.  I do not intend to keep doing this. I really don't like what alcohol does to the brain. Once every blue Moon will probably not hurt.  It's weird. Four sips in and Everything sounds strange I have a fairly intense buzz. We're talking 4 ounces of beer doing that. I guess I'd be a cheap date.

So, what’s next for Sergei Bobrovsky and the Columbus Blue Jackets?Both sides have moved on since an incident in Tampa Bay Tuesday night when the club’s top goaltender was pulled by Columbus coach John Tortorella and Sunday night Bobrovsky is expected to return  to the net against the New York Rangers after serving what was effectively a one-game suspension.
Scheduled to become a unrestricted free agent on July 1, the trouble in Tampa started after Bobrovsky didn’t return to the bench when he was yanked with 8:53 left in the third period after allowing four goals on 19 shots in the Jackets 4-0 loss.

It just started an hour, maybe two ago.  Could be anywhere from 3-9 inches or 8-22cm for those in most of the world.
