I’m worried he will eventually become all “Hollywood”, on us, over time! It might just be my imagination at this point, due to the fake smile issue, but I’m hearing some softer, less icy, more corporate, type stuff, getting subtly inserted into his commentary at times!
GOD, I HOPE IM WRONG!!

I know, right!! LOL!

It’s just more sad to see it happen to guys with Mays demeanor, as opposed to someone like Locker! It just fuels the fire inside all of us old cynics!!😂🤣😂

I love all the posts on this page.  You guys have nailed the essence of what appears to be going on behind the scenes to me as well. I cringe every time Alan May stops talking and that little light in his head says, "SMILE if you want this job".

I have also noticed him lightening up on the well deserved harsh commentary, although he still rips loose at times and when he does I LOVE IT!

Early on in their relationship you could clearly see he wanted to rip Carlin's head off quite often. Again, someone probably talked to him and he is less obvious than he used to be, but the eyes still tell it all. Alan May is the best person/personality they have next to Joe B. it would be very unfortunate for all if he did not stick around.

Yes, the smile is a little weird.  Almost makes him look evil...like it's just a mask to cover what he's contemplating in his head.

I giggled last night...(re-watching the Flyers game).  The real Alan May broke out...Locker was complaining he didn't think the DSP "fight" deserved 5 minutes, etc
May chimes in:  "Well that's what passes for a fight these days Locker".  Probably a little more honesty than the producers really wanted, but funny.

I can't stand watching Carlin now with the freaking eyeliner.  It's just ridiculous.  I like to ask May what he thinks about it.

One of you twitter folk ought to send May a tweet and ask him about it  ;D

Go Caps.
